Thank you for telling the story of the bandits and the monks. In a world where selfishness and narcissism seems to run rampant. Somehow where we are ALL Equal and together/US/where we love each other as ourselves. Just like that powerful teaching we dont have to burn out on those who only want to take take take from us.

I’m glad I found your UA-cam channel. Ten years ago I had way too many things go wrong in my life that led to a nightmare, that left me with breathing problems and other physical problems.
My doctor said it was stress. I’ve never found a cure. And that’s the mistake, thinking I need a cure. I realise it doesn’t work like that. Taking time out to look after myself is the key. Listening to your meditation has helped to move my mind into the right direction. Thank you.

Lovely a monk in the garden & walkies in the morning & a bowl of food a day. Fantastic. Years ago some of the northern lay people visited London uk & were invited to a millionaires residence. My friend was invited into the residence, however myself was shown to the small garden shed type meditation room. I was told this was made for the monks to stay overnight when they visited and that l could wait here while my friend was taken on a guided house tour. Upon returning she explained that the house had some lovely expensive items, which she enjoyed seeing and then l smiled as she said “oh wouldn’t it be nice to have a place to house visiting monks to allow a stay overnight”. I remember thinking all that luxury lots of empty rooms, yet the monks were left in a rather meagre, not very comfortable overnight shed, with a nonediscript Buddha stupa. Just like a dog, been given scraps. “No l thought my wish would be to give him the best room in the house & feel privileged to have the oppportunity of caring, sharing, loving approach. As we left we were called back & l did get to accompany my friend to the inside of the porch entrance. All very grand, but sadly it didn’t strike me as opulence. It frankly struck me as rather tardy decor. My sons girlfriend is a architect and she designs London lofts for clients. Costing large amounts. All the soft furnishings have to be coordinate matching, yet often she is obliged to visit late at night to discuss their designs formats. No real consideration given to her late evening returning home throughout London city alone. Basically no real caring to other peoples lifestyles, before their own, which one suspects is filled with making more money to finance their recent desire Rez London abodes. Like the past visit, one wondered if it was a kind of fashion statement, a monk shed in the garden, akin to a top style pedigree dog, one focal point to show friends. A far cry from our small northern monastery, which we lovingly modernised for the monks daily needs. One person joked “you know l love visiting monastery, because it’s better than my old tumble down home” . After we installed a real flushing toilet. Life teases leave it there woof woof , or l may wish l was a monk, sadly can’t wag my tale, so hope this past memory of a London tale helps. Meta & love to everyone . The present food increases suspect that the professor will have to redo his cost, it very cheap, a monks a smile is free, if all you give is a bowl of food. 😘😘😘🤭🙏👋🙂

So part of the many reasons I can’t stand most people is because I hate myself, even tho the self that I hate is illusion and or delusion.
I love caring for people and being loving and kind but after that I’ll be running the opposite direction.
I don’t want your friendship or thanks or appreciation.
Just accept the love or kindness I’m offering and then move away quickly.
And please don’t try of love me or care for me. You will be rebuked and or disappointed.
This incarnation is baffling to the nonexistent “me” I imagine myself to be.

The Buddha says when listening to monks teaching in later times, to compare what is taught with sutta n Vinaya. After 500 years, there will be fake n wrong teachings even by famous monks. Beware, check against sutta n Vinaya in 5 nikayas as instructed by the Buddha in the nikayas. Don't simply accept and believe without checking. Much wrong teachings arise, fake Dhamma.. beware
