Those are such cute blocks. I love the little candy blocks. Your daughter is so sweet and adorable. Looking forward to the sew along tomorrow with you and Yvette. See you in the next video. 😊💕🎁🎄🎅🏻
Glad to hear chocolate chip was toward the top! Not a big fan of snickerdoodle, but maybe I haven’t tasted a good one yet! Congrats Terri! Keep sewing! Enjoy the evening you two!
Steph I love your blog’s. I can not understand people not liking the sound of the sewing machine when watching you sew. I love to hear the sound of a sewing machine. I can hear you loud and clear. Keep up the good work. Your condos growing daily. Your daughter is so lucky having you teach her how to sew xx
This was fun. I love these blocks and the quilt is going to be so pretty! I tried to snoop one time, with a present my older sister had gotten me. I poked little holes in the top of the package with a straight pin all of the way across. I couldn't see what was in the box, even with a flashlight. I gave up and put little Christmas stickers over the pinholes. Once I finally got to open the present, it was a blow up animal. If I had poked any further down, I would have punctured it and destroyed it! I never did that again. Hope Sara has fun tomorrow. I'm sure she will. Pam Miller
Love your video Stephanie! Would love to make that quilt I love Santa! I am 73 and every Christmas Eve I take grandchildren outside and have them look up into the sky to see if we can see Santa's sleigh. I have done that since I have been a child. This is something that my grandchildren will remember me by
I love hearing your sewing machine. I am always disappointed when other UA-camrs filter out the sound of it. For me, it is soothing and the sound of creativity. Thanks for sharing your project. I've been cleaning my sewing area and organizing because my hubby put together some new storage shelves. No, not ready for Christmas here! I have all the gifts, but need to wrap and send out cards. Of course, there is always baking! Have a wonderful evening!
I LOVE this new block! So cute for the season. Fun to see Sarah again….. look at her gorgeous hair. WOW! Snowstorm in WI tonight and tomorrow…. Maybe up to 10 inches….we’ll see! Thanks for the fun video❤️❤️❤️
I love the Old Country Store!! It is in Lancaster County (Intercourse Pa ) I was there in October and bought several Creative Grid Rulers and Jelly Rolls. I saw those ironing boards and have been kicking myself for not buying one. But I did buy an Amish made quilt at another shop in that area. My sister lives there We grew up in New Jersey.
Isn't it a great store? I make sure to stop in every time we are in the area. The ironing board was the best investment...it's been everywhere with me!
Cute presents blocks for today! My son did the exact same thing to his Christmas gifts when he was about 8. He tried to rewrap them too. 😂 I ended up taking him with me to return them. But then, unbeknownst to him, I went back later and bought them again and hid them until Christmas morning! He was cured, haha.
I found your channel through SEW BECCA. Love how she promotes other people's channels. She calls attention to your channel all the time. You and your daughter are so cute!
Such cute blocks for today! I never snooped or opened presents. We did shake our gifts. My dad would always put things that made noise when he wrapped our gifts (he was a wrapping perfectionist and loved doing it, unlike my mom), which was great fun for all of us. Off to open my Jenny’s Countdown to Christmas Box with Becca. Stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
Those blocks are awesome. I have the patterns downloaded now. I have that same iron, it's 2 years old, and I love it. My bog iron is a Rowenta steam iron that I've had for 7 years and I really like it. Stephanie I am loving your videos 🤗 I'm sharing them with my youngest. Thank you for sharing this project.
The same thing happened to me when I was a kid! My sister and I opened everything and my mom found out and returned it them! I already wrapped all of ours too because my 2 year old came downstairs and saw everything.
Congrats to Terry 🙂 have to get this pattern downloaded..liking the design of the blocks..think your machine noise is fine..they should hear my old Kenmore..Its Loud..lol...and yes fabric print upside down drives me nuts..lol..
Nice seeing Sara for a few minutes but I can’t believe she was wearing shorts…it’s winter! Lol. Congratulations to Terry. I’m the same way about directional prints so we’re both a little OCD/crazy in that respect. I still have a lot of projects to finish making but somehow it gets done. Also want to start baking soon since I make between 10 to 12 different cookies. Think this year it will be fewer since no one needs extra calories. I spied once As a kid and I was so disappointed that I had done that. Never did it again. Wow can’t believe how quick you received the Sew Yeah hoodie. If I needed another jacket I would have ordered. Looks so soft and cozy. See you tomorrow.
For me, as a very young child, I believed on the three wise kings bringing the presents on January 6. I woke up late, heard noises, and decided to see the kings. That's when I saw my parents putting the presents and taking away the grass and water we had left for the camels. Curiosity does kill the cat.
Hi Stephanie:-))) my presents that were from Santa were not wrapped..I dont know where my parents hid them in the meantime...obviously really good because I never found them :-)) such good memories...🎄
I was a good gift guesser, so when I as 28, my mom took on old checkbook box and filled it with nuts and bolts and stuffed $20 in it so I could not guess. That gift stumped me and when I opened it, it was so ridiculous that I laughed so hard I cried. hehehe
When I finish this video, I am going to catch up with Yvette's vlogmas. I have to see today's SewBecca's video. Who else in the group is doing vlogmas? I have the same little iron. I got mine from Amazon. So far so good.
People really complain for no reason. I suffer from headaches/ migraines often and your machine didn't bother me to complain about the noise and I could hear you perfectly before.
I have that exact same iron and absolutely LOVE it :) It does get super hot and I love the way you hold it, my arthritis is the same type as yours and it is so much easier sometimes to use the little lightweight with a handle that I don't have to actually grasp a handle on. Mine is about a year old, maybe a little more and it's still doing great. Becca just has bad luck :( maybe you or I should go to Wal Mart and get one to send to her lol
I don’t think your machine is too loud. 😬 Was wondering about your thread spool. I sew with mine the other way (small end on top) . Does it make a difference ?
I get so many questions about that...when I first got this machine, I didn't think it liked aurifil...turns out when I turned the thread upside down so it unwinds the other direction, it worked great!
When my daughter was a little, she never really got into presents or wanted to know, now that she is in her 20s she hates that I won't let her just shop with me or just give her money. I tell her she either gets a surprise or nothing at all. She tries to get me to slip and tell her, but hasn't worked yet ;) I personally hate knowing, not even a hint, I love the surprise of the gift when I am supposed to receive it.
Stephanie, how do you get the center of the pinwheel to go flat? I try NOT to make any patterns with them. But they are so cute, mine always have a great knot in the middle.
I am new to your channel. I found out about you from SEW BECCA. I was wondering what you are using on your seams before you press them. If you don’t mind me asking.
I don't mind at all! I use the Acorn Easy Press Piecing Pen. It's a starch alternative product that's concentrated and the pen allows you to put it right on the seams. I use best press for general yardage pressing, but this product gets your seams nice and flat!
Hello from North Carolina. Hello Stephanie and Sara.
Congratulations to the winner. Those blocks are sew cute, and I do not think your sewing machine is too loud!! 🤗
You are a very talented lady. With this video I catch up on the Vlogmas since I already watched day 11. Yeah.
Those blocks are so fun!

Thank you sweetie! I am excited about the sew along, and bonus, I don't have to do any of the set-up...shhh, don't tell Yvette, LOL!

The baking is what I have left, but that won't happen for a minute yet, so I have a small reprive! New storage sounds great...have fun organizing!
I had 10 brothers and three sisters so we didn't get much but mum and dad made it very special for us
Wow...big family! We don't have quite that many, but understand how much it takes to run a larger family!
Stephanie, I just subscribed!! I thought I had already! I hope that this puts you over your goal! 🌞 lol! Good luck to you in reaching the goal!
Thank you so much!❤

Send some our way...my kids are really missing the snow as it has been such a light winter so far! Stay safe and warm. Thank you so much Nancy!
Congrats to the winner! Love your blocks Stephanie 💕

@@StephaniesStitches do you go there to see family or just because you like the area?
I got that Billy Joel reference!
“You may be right, I may be crazy, or I just may be a lunatic”.
yep! I have a weird mind like that, LOL!
That’s funny. My daughter is Terry and her husband is Cooper. Congrats!
No way! That's too funny!

So BEAUTIFUL!, your going to have an amazing quilt 💕
Thank you!
I love that present block. I make my daughter a table runner last year with a similar one 🎁good luck Sara!!

That pen must be awesome when there are lots of fabric coming together.
It is perfect for that!

Pretty fabric line and block. I can't wait to see it finished. How is your long arm service going?
Going well Mary, thanks for asking! I am excited to see this quilt finished!
Set up.
That's looking good steph. Why do you have to put the extra strip a long the top x
That is a good question...I can't wait to find out when they reveal how to put this together!
No you are perfect
I thought the pieces were cut on the kit.
No link to the iron table place.
Stephanie, how do you get the center of the pinwheel to go flat? I try NOT to make any patterns with them. But they are so cute, mine always have a great knot in the middle.
I use my pressing pen, which helps tremendously with getting flat blocks, and I press bulky seams like that open.
@@StephaniesStitches Thank you for taking the time to answer. ❤
@@deniseb9171 of course! ❤

The peppermint candy blocks...just because they have a lot of pieces, but they were a ton of fun!

Who watches your small kids while you sew?
I sew when they sleep! Lots of late night/early morning sewing! Plus I do keep some toys in my space so they can hang out.
