- Universal Studios Japan will host “NO LIMIT! Countdown 2023” on Saturday, December 31, 2022. This will be the first countdown event at the park in three years. The countdown event will start at 19:00 on New Year’s Eve and the park will be open until 21:00 on January 1st, 2023. That means visitors can enjoy USJ for 26 hours!

do you need extra pass to enter nintendo world when you avail the No limit countdown?
Hello. Not really. Some people try to get Nintendo world passes ahead of time, however, what I always do is I book it on their app when you're inside USJ already. As I noted before, you can only do that when you're inside USJ. The app tracks your location.
It's similar to daytime, when you arrive at 9am, if you get Nintendo world passes, it could be 1pm, etc. if you come later, it is possible that there are no schedules available anymore.
With party passes, you enter from 7pm. I suggest you open your USJ app once you enter and get a schedule for Nintendo world. It's free, you just have to go back on your allotted time.

Great video! Sorry for the random question, but do you know if you can buy timed entry tickets for NYE as well for like harry potter world etc?
Hello Tamika. As far as I know, there are no timed entry tickets for sale for harry potter anymore. It's not as popular as before. I think only Nintendo World and other limited edition attractions (mostly Japanese Anime promotions) has timed entry tickets. Although you can get these for free in their app once you're inside USJ.
If you're talking about similar to express passes, I think are also different tier tickets for the new year in USJ.
P.S please note that these new year tickets are from 7pm of the 31st until the next day for up to 26 hours. It means if you want to go there earlier than 7pm, you have to buy a separate ticket. Otherwise, just go there at 7pm~

Hello Katty. We did not and I'm not sure how much that would be. But in our experience, I think I prefer not staying in one place and move depending on what you want to watch. The fireworks were divided into two places, one in front of the port in the middle of USJ and another near the Christmas tree where they also put a stage. As you can see in the video, it was like a party on that side which was really fun!

Yes you have to buy the NO-LIMIT pass tickets before going there but as far as I remember, I don't think it got sold out last new year. Maybe you can still buy them till last minute but for 2024's event, we never know if it become more popular and the maximum limit of customers can be reached.
Since you asked, I did a quick google search and apparently the tickets are available now! I'm guessing they started selling it last October 1st.
Things to note: the party pass can only be used from Dec. 31st at 7pm onwards till the next day (a total of 26 hours). If you wish to enter USJ before that time, I think it will be a separate ticket (normal ticket).

Last year I just purchased it directly on their official USJ website. I just did a quick google because you asked and apparently, right now the passes are sold by lottery. If you can't win it through that, I guess you just have to wait until they sell it publicly to everyone. I'm guessing since last year was a success, they are expecting more people to come this year so they are trying to control the admissions.

Hello. I'm not sure but that could be possible. Or maybe you can even see it from a hotel nearby. But of course it will be more fun to enjoy the fireworks + music if you're inside USJ. It was an amazing experience.

We went there by car and we decided to leave around 7am but to answer your question, I think the train schedule is extended but I don't think it will be open for 24 hours. Their workers have families too and the new year is one of those rare times when they take a rest from their workaholic culture. Not sure what time is the first train the next day though.
Some people do try to sleep in their cars and go back the next day because you can literally stay in USJ for 26 hours if you want to.
Hello. Saw the thread. you mentioned there are 2 fireworks. What's the difference po if you stay in front of the port, would you know? Tho your area by the Christmas Tree seems fun :)

Hello Rica. In front of the port technically there will be more fireworks shown but nobody can stand up. Everyone has to sit still and watch the fireworks. There were a lot of people and my legs hurt sitting down with little space so about 10 mins before the fireworks, my sister and I went to the other side.
And you're right it was more fun near the Christmas tree because everybody was jumping up and down enjoying the music and fireworks.

Hello! We did not because we were tired already around 7am~ so we decided to go home. I think re-entry is allowed so if you stayed in a hotel nearby that would be convenient. I saw some people rest in their cars though.
