Today more than ever, woman are suffering with not only a condition called estrogen Dominance but an alarming number of woman are also being diagnosed with and suffering with unresolved Thyroid symptoms…... and the two of these (Estrogen dominance and thyroid disease) are connected in more ways than you can imagine.
You see, Estrogen Dominance has direct effects on your Thyroid levels and if you are like most of my patients you may have been put on thyroid medication only to feel worse or no change at all. There are reasons for this and in today’s video, I will be discussing WHY this happens, HOW woman develop estrogen dominance, I’ll talk about the relationship between estrogen dominance and the thyroid gland, and if you stay with me all the way to the end of this video, I’m going to talk about some of the strategies on preventing estrogen dominance and a few of my favorite supplements that can reverse estrogen dominance as well as support the Thyroid.
The supplements that I have seen the greatest levels of success with woman who are estrogen dominant will include things like;

I have all of that. I had my adrenals checked and my rennin level was .7 . yes you read that right. I have thyroid noduel. Its just so frustrating that the VA doesnt know these things and when I ask for the tests they tell me I dont need them and then try and put me on thyroid meds which have never worked. Its the rennin that has me worried and the dr wont send me for eval due to them not THINKING I need it. As a veteran on a very low budget I dont have the money to get an outside dr. this vid was very helpful.
This was soo timely and helpful for me!!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for making this video!!! 💖
This is interesting! I have thyroid issues, and do not ovulate, as well as no periods. I am over weight so that’s most likely the root of my issues!
Kaylin Richard Yes! The more months that go by where you should be ovulating, you won’t produce sufficient amounts of progesterone leading to estrogen dominance- the more dominant you become, the more fat is stored. Also, the more estrogen dominant you become, the more sluggish your thyroid becomes- that’s strike two for weigh loss efforts!
Hmmm I need to figure this out! Any other suggestions you have??
@@kaylinashley4930 are you fine right now ?
This is giving me so many answers to what is going on. What about a progesterone cream to help elevate the levels?
Got my levels tested...I was ED for sure.
Thyroid replacement makes me even hungrier!
Why not just address the underlying issue instead of medicating?
Thank you for this information I have an appointment next week so we can discuss this & I also have an appointment with my gynecologist in 2 weeks.

I am a male, 63 years old and have sarcopenia. Any videos you have for regaining my muscle tone and body strength? Thanks 🙏
Does low testosterone also have estrogen dominance symptoms?
Kim strukel low testosterone can show up in a number of ways- low sex drive, loss of strength, fatigue, osteoporosis, etc- this is why proper testing is important!
Thank you so much for this Dr. Hagmeyer! Does estrogen dominance contribute to the growth of fibroids?
P P When estrogen levels are high, especially during pregnancy, fibroids tend to swell. They are also more likely to develop when a woman is taking birth control pills that contain estrogen. Low estrogen levels can cause fibroids may shrink, such during and after menopause.
@@DrRichardHagmeyer Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. It is greatly appreciated!
What about cruciferous vegetables and does flaxseed increase estrogen?
Dr. H I took milk thistle and it gave me extreme breast pain that still hasn't gone away, 3 months later. I had a breast ultrasound and everything looked fine. any ideas why it caused the pain?
Nancy GS Unfortunalty without a health history, examination and testing, it’s impossible- could be any number of things- from an overstrained pec major/minor muscle to fibrocystic breasts-
also could be “echoing” from elsewhere. is it both breasts? if not, then even more so check stuff like liver, pancreas.. usually these shoot pain up to the shoulder/neck area, but could be breasts indeed. See a doc to assist with proper testing
do you have to take all this supplements at once, or just one of your choice? I have hashimoto's and iron deficiency without anemia....
blushbaby it’s not uncommon when working with patients who have autoimmune Hashimotos to be taking 7-8 supplements at one time. Depends on what’s wrong and what we need to work on.

With all the iron fortified food it’s unlikely that anyone is low in iron (our bodies are usually been forced to stash excess iron in our organs)….theres a very good chance your deficient in what is needed to transport the iron, such as copper, vitamin A and either B1 or B6 I think. They form a bus together that transports the iron where it needs to go, but without those the unbound iron is toxic.
Deficiencies in minerals that are abundant even in processed foods, usually indicates that the body has deliberately lowered the iron level as a form of protection. Check out the UA-cam videos on copper deficiency, they may be worth looking into. 👍🏻😁
Hi doctor, is DIM supplement not dangerous for post menopausal if I have a low thyroid? Thank you
Alla Novikova not dangerous at All!
Hi! The safest for you would be to take sulforaphane. But you will need to do testing so that you know your particular hormonal state and see if you can take DIM.
What about dairy?
