@@xoxojustno6971 I agree with the "no toilets", I feel bad if I forget the toilet paper, but we've all built our fair share of weird shaped houses in the Sims.
I am always so happy when people lower the height of the walls. That alone makes it feel so much more realistic. Most grown men I know can each the ceilings in most trailers I've been in. They're not tall structures. And I agree that Nancy is the one who disowned Johnny... and my theory was always that Nancy isn't his real mother but the younger Landgrabb son is hers and that's why she favors him and he gets so spoiled.
I love how you used your irl experience and put it into the game, it really makes the builds feel alive to me cause I’ve had friends who lived in trailers that looked exactly like this and it was nostalgic for me.
You know what’s funny is Nancy wanted to be an artist but changed her mind (probably family pressured her into conforming) and I headcannon she kicked Johnny out for his benefit. Like if he stayed he’d change his mind like she did. I don’t know, I give Nancy a soft spot for her eldest
It's always bothered me how huge Johnny's lot is considering the size of his trailer, but you did a great job of filling in the all the extra space without losing the soul of it being a trailer by making it bigger. The only other solution I've been able to see is to use debug to put in some fake trailers to make it a park.
Since I'm not from the states I've never seen a trailer. I barely know what it is. I guess this just adds to why trailer homes don't look like actual homes to me. I have no connection to them at all, so fun to see someone actually enjoy (building) them.
Johnny Zest is my favorite townie. I could not tell you how many times I've renovated this trailer. But it never looked anywhere near as good as this! I Love It, well done!
After all these years of playing this game I had no idea that grilled cheese chair existed 🧀 this is why I like to watch other people build. Sometimes you just get stuck in ruts and use the same things. Petition for you to make a house based around a sim that has the grilled cheese aspiration 😂🖤
I use to live in Charlotte, NC, in a old townhome apartment - until 2020 then my fiancé and I moved into my childhood home (a trailer - since my mom bought her first home). Before my parents moved they did a lot of updates on the trailer so luckily it doesn’t have this old feel to it anymore. :)
@@tegansmith9151 that’s awesome! Growing up we use to go swimming at a 1000 trails campground in mocksville. I know it’s something different now. I’m from the Denton/Thomasville area. :)
I’m actually playing through with Jonny right now, what timing! And totally agree with you about him and his father being secretly close but not at all with Nancy. She’s the real boss of that house lol
Fun fact about Johny Zest in game -> because of they didn't set their relations as parents-son, Johny in my recent gameplay had 2 kids with Nancy :) I didn't play these families. I just saw it by accident while moving my sim.
As a person who also grew up in a trailer, I totally agree with you and love the build. You did an amazing job, as always. This one really did give the realistic vibe you were going for. Good job!
I saw this one theory about Johnny. If you look at Nancy's skills, she actually has the comedy skill. And Geoffrey wants a perfect family. So it can be assumed that Geoffrey was actually the one who disowned Johnny bc he wouldn't see a comedian as being the "perfect son".
i am so in love with this. i’ve tried to renovate this lot before and struggled. your creativity just blows the original out of the water! you’re so talented and should absolutely be proud of this 👏🏼
I wish I still had the thread to link it but I recently saw a Twitter thread explaining why they thought Johnny was Nancy's younger brother rather than son and was disowned by their parents rather than Nancy and Geoffrey and it was a cool concept imo.
I just discovered you and this build is so amazing! Johnny Zest is the first love of my legacy founder that didn’t work out and I love playing in the trailer as it was. But this made it 1000 times better.
this is seriously the most realistic trailer home build i’ve seen- i feel like ea had the spirit but there’s a level of inauthenticity to it- this looks way more like any trailer home i’ve ever been in- maybe it’s outdated, maybe it’s made of of second-hand, mismatched furniture, but people live there and they put their hearts and souls into making it home
Nice to see a trailer build that feels homey. Trailers have a bad rap, and the people who live in them too. I've always felt that was undeserved. Your build feels deeply realistic and human 💙
I love this SO much! I've always thought johnnys home was so depressing but, you have made the place seem pretty cozy, better than I have ever managed. I will put this one in my game for sure.
i grew up in a trailer too haha, the carpets we had were actually a darker green! even had the carpet in the bathrooms 😅😅 trailers bring back so many memories lol
agree with the swatch update on the base-game counters - such a welcome addition and I have found myself using them a lot more since we got that update :) now I just want the same swatches added to the CL version
So much better than the original trailer. One time I had a sim marry Johnny so I used mccc and made him actually related to the Landgraabs, and then made him hate them and them hate him. Geoffrey with 100% negative red bar kept calling Johnny and asking why he never sees him anymore. lol Oh well, I tried.
I love decorating his trailer. I thought the mismatched fancy stuff was furniture he'd stolen from his parents. There's one expansion pack- either Eco or urban loft, i can't remember where the item descriptions reference furniture Johnny built himself with stuff he found after his parents disowned him.
I think the original vibe it gave me was like Johnny took what he was able to or allowed to from the Landgraab home, and the cheaper furniture + trailer itself is from his own money. I like the vibe you gave it more though, I feel like if he was disowned he wouldn't have been given the chance to take nice furniture.
Yay! I love it when people build in base game and this doesn’t even look like base game! Also You should do a country club from the 2000s! Maybe on the vaun something estate lot in brindleton bay (I think) Then you could do a bunch of tacky landscaping hahaha. Like any movie from the 2000s has a popular girl whose dad is at that club 24/7. (Base game or not! ♥️)
the salt and pepper shakers disappeared because they were snapped to the table, and when you lower something down or raise something up and it's snapped to something it'll disappear
i miss the sims heads popping up on the screen and following the cursor of the mouse like it was in sims 1,2,3...i dont understand why they removed it in the sims 4...for real it doesnt make sense.
This is so detailed and realistic - truly stunning. Also about 50 million times better than the original. Maybe you should do a mini-series of trailer builds?
This has actually made me want to play as Johnny Zest now and live his best life. Awesome renovation!
Same Here!
sameee!! i had a legacy where he married my main sim, wanna do that again tbh
I love it when simmers rebuild old houses of npcs. It's basically them saying "Hey EA, do better for your kids"
Your kids deserve better…

I reno-ed this too but I decided to add 2 other trailers and have him share the lot with 2 other families and they have like a community dog

But this time, is the trailer of an abandoned son of the Landgraab family.(Johnny Zest)
I mean "disowned", not "abandoned". Sorry about that.
