The SKL house is an absolute monstrosity and for the BFF, a rocket space for Liberty would be nice (instead of plopping it down in the yard somewhere as we do.) Always assumed it was her inherited house (biggest bedroom) and she rented out the extra rooms to her besties.
i’m super excited to see your take on the Spencer-Lewis-Kim mansion. the base game mansions suffer so much from EA build limitations and the lack of swatches back then. i’ve always thought the Spencer-Lewis-Kims seem like such a lively family with all of these different personalities, especially with three different life stages in one space. i’d love to see their house reflect their stories! they might be stinking rich, but i think their mansion would still be filled with some Gryphi clutter

The base game builds baffle me. It's one thing not to be skilled at decorating and leaving spaces empty, but they feel like EA randomized the furniture and then built it in black and white mode 🤣 I like this reno, the warm wood fits this type of house much more.
I know it's a big project, and would take you a while, but I feel like if you do Johnny's revamp, you've GOT to do his parents as well....ole' Nancy and Geoffrey Landgraab 😂. I really want to see Summer, Liberty, and Travis as well, but I like the lore progression of Nancy and Geoffrey next 😂.
In the home in basegame Johnny has a few gnomes. In my rotational save I play into this he adds to them whenever he gets a promotion at work etc. His wife hates them
Ooh hey, I thought I was the only one who was seeking him out and updating his house. I respect that he is ousted from the family for following his dreams and give him a nicely decorated home and focus on his career till he’s level 10 and making bank.
To me, the original house, judging from it's size and proportions looks like an old railroad boxcar, transformed into a home. Great for role-playing downtrodden sims. If I play with this lot, I usually try to make it look more like a place where Trevor Phillips would live. :) You made it way too nice for this style of roleplay, he-he.
Love this remodel! And I long for hardwood floors as well. Rugs are easier to clean too lol. We have pets and live in the country and have some farm animals. Carpet is not our friend lol.

This was a great renovation. Since for rent came out I have Nancy as the landlord who bought the trailer behind Geoffreys back for johnny to rent as Geoffrey threw Johnny out and doesn't know that Nancy has a secret money pot set aside from secret business deals. I always put another trailer on there and I create a female sim that i pretend was johnnys best friend. Over time in the story I imagine johnny renovated the trailer and him and his friend become a couple and upgrade the trailer with an extra bedroom when they unexpectedly have a child and Geoffrey finds out about Nancy and johnny and he tries to divorce her but she gets him on grounds of cheating and it's very dramatic 😅

I promise that wood flooring is way worse with pets, unless they have accidents a lot. I have to sweep DAILY and can’t be barefoot in the house cuz there’s so much hair, cat litter, and dirt on the floors. Feels like no matter how often I sweep, swiffer, and mop there’s always so much stuff on the floors. It’s driving me insane, I’m so excited to move and have carpets again. It was a huge mistake getting wood flooring
my parent's bought their first home in 1986 a mobile home like what Johnny lives in we still live in it we may rent the land it sits on but it's still our home we own the home outright we just rent the land

Our old house had vintage wood floors and I loved it - but it was tiny and when I was pregnant we had to sell and move, and our new house has the UGLIEST biege contractor special carpet everywhere. Which makes cleaning up after our pukey cat kind of a nightmare. There’s nothing really wrong with my cat, he’s been to the vet repeatedly, he just pukes a lot. A contractor owned it and rented out the house from the ‘60s until he eventually sold so there are so many questionable cosmetic choices. They painted over hardwood paneling and window frames. They painted over the pink tub (badly). We have just been living with it until my son is older, small children are as destructive as pets honestly.

I promise that wood flooring is way worse with pets, unless they have accidents a lot.
