The way the Homie said "damn" only the true car fans will understand. 😂
The damn of disappointment
The Imapala fall off is one of the resasons why most flocked to dodge in the 2010s far as sedans!
The frustration and disgusting disappointment is dripping
Pure Contempt, before I got my CtsV I really considered that damn chevySS😅
It was sad when it was announced SS and fwd. Those two don't belong together.
Cobalt ss enters chat 😂
@theodorerobinson5274 Eh, it fulfilled a nice niche, so I'll give it a pass.
@@theodorerobinson5274 🤣
Wasn't Monte Carlos SS in the 2000s fwd?
02 Monte SS owner, I get sad at what could have been.
Facts they killed the impala with that front wheel shit
This is what I said. Impala SS on a Cadillac Blackwing platform. Chevy skin on a Cadillac.
Mah boi losing his shit for the f-ck-up GM made. But I feel your pain, bro.
lol
GM not making enough rear wheel drive cars is one of the many reasons folks like me switched to dodge… if GM would’ve made a modern day rear wheel drive Monte Carlo, 2door Grand Prix or Buick regal, I would’ve stayed with GM.. they just keep making these sleeper looking sports cars except for the Corvette, that ain’t no sleeper lol!
U must enjoy low quality if you’re still with dodge , god that unconnect is a** lol
corvette is meant for the european market, that new mid engine v8 they have now sounds very anticlimactic to me now. I think the c8 is something rhey always wanted to try but never had the balls to, i see it as how Ford views their Mustang but with much less pride and faith behind the product involved. And in any case why make a v8 impala when you have the cadillac ct for that shit. i mean why bother putting in any effort into shit peopld actually want
You basically went from sugar to shhhht. Dodge never made anything better than Ford or Chevy bro. You should've gotten a Toyota, Ford or Honda
@@BruceDragon-sf1tr naw.. I did the right thing…. The car manufacturers that you mentioned make douche bag vehicles that don’t stand out to save their lives… outside of the corvette & the Camaro ZL1 which was a long needed answer to the street dominating hellcat platform, none those other cars matter…Save for the Lexus from Toyota… other than that, you might as well be invisible with those other brands…
@@michaelwalker8870 the problem with GM is that they want so much for their performance V8’s… the main reason behind the popularity of the hellcat Challenger outside of design was that Dodge threw all that horsepower in a modern but retro styled vehicle & they made them affordable… GM could’ve made V8 rear wheel drive R/T type vehicles & took their piece of the market… but no, they offer you a FWD v8 Monte Carlo ss with trash transmission.. the same with their counterparts in the Buick Lacrosse/Pontiac GXP. Like you said… Corvette & Blackwings competing in the Euro market…
I approve this message. This is what everyone wanted as a follow up to the 96 impala. They dropped the ball bad on this one!
The Impala and the Monte Carlo should have never been changed to a fwd layout to begin with.
Impala should've stayed rwd.
Monte carlo too
Absolutely!
They all decided to scrap the ideas that made them great to compete with the Asian cars but never stopped to think that if we wanted an Asian car we'd get a real Asian car.
or move to Asia. where the real ones are.
EPA. That is why. The dUCKING EPA!
“Ducking” 😂😂
That didn't stop Dodge 🤷🏿♂️
Literally how it should have been.
Man that’s the only reason I bought crown Vic’s. I would have preferred this exactly.
We did… It was called the Chevy “SS”… They just overpriced the hell out of it and it didn’t sell
More like they didn't MARKET THE DAMN THING by the time I found out they existed they were discontinued and prices skyrocketed
@@blackghost1791 true… Dealerships were price gouging like crazy on them
All true
I was about to say the same thing...SS was our rear wheel Impala he should be complaining why they discontinued it.... Also Chevy and Dodge don't make bad front wheel drive turbo cars!
Didn't market the car so ppl didn't really know it existed
Preach brother!
4 door Camaro! 😂
🤷🏿♂️ gm version of a scat pack 4 door sedan muscle car
Literally that's what the impala is and was and was suppose to stay bein
Shiiit might as well be.
Not going to lie GM fell of when they decieded to
Give us a Chevy SS instead of an Impala SS, GM would have had made a great car to compete against the Charger.
But instead they decdied to become pussies and give us cars we don't want while also discounting the Camaro
because there Design team can't somehow design a Camaro that does not have a blind spot issue.
I like The 6th & 7th gen camaro
But they have more blind spots
Than 2 Military vehicles a Hemmit and an LMTV
The Mustang is no better with blindspots.
@@ItsDaJaxthat’s simply not true😂
@@jbee3025 I've driven both. Rear vision isn't that great in the S550s either.
I've been in both
but I got to say the Camaro is worse
Yes, Mustang has a blind spot issue, but at least the Mustangs is not as annoying and noticeable as the Camaros.
Guess u never learned how to readjust the mirrors
Once again GM snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. As a fellow GM lover and LS owner this one hurts
Raw doggin the gas pedal 😅😅😅
You finally spoke on this dude I’ve been speaking about this dude for years I’ve followed his build from the start to end!!!!!
What's dude page?
I been following his build is a success i was waiting for you yessir 💯 bro watched his whole damn build chevy needs to hire him and im v8 fiend
I appreciate you following my build !!
@@19ozzy83 no problem you gave us the impala ss how it was meant to be brotha i am thankful for getting to see someone actually build what i visioned in my head my older sis has a premiere an i showed her your video she was like hell yeah 😎 mad respect 🙏 thanks for sharing it
Living in this era of GM was strange. Before the GTO and 5th gen camaro came out, you had Chevy throwing SS on everything. The Monte Carlo SS was a V6 that later got a supercharged option before the V8 model was released. Same as the impala, it was a FWD, 300hp car with a terrible transmission.
The Impala SS, Bonneville GXP and Grand Prix GXP all shared the same platform for the most part. FWD V8s that could and should have been RWD. I felt that disappointment in this video. We were all feeling the same way around this time. Lol
The face you make at the 1 minute mark had me rolling 😂 you're humor and knowledge is what keeps me watching
And then GM is like:" Why sale number not good?"
The Holden/SS is pretty sick tho !!
It’s mid imo. Should’ve a Malibu or something not just “SS” Get a cheap Pontiac G8 same car 🤷🏿♂️
@@wolfbear572 modified correctly they can be very nice, from the factory they are mid, plus I prefer coupes..
They really missed this woth the impala it could have been great if they followed the old formula rear wheel drive and strap a v8 to the front smh
I agree with you man, Impalas should always have been RWD
Gm real dropped the ball on the impala seriously
GM seems like they have no idea what people want...
Bailout cash has been put to 4cyl turbo front wheel drive use 😡...
When he paused after saying, "this is a rwd...." i felt that.
And the closest thing these poindexter engineers gave us in the US was the G8. And when that wasn't enough insult to injury, they merked the entire Pontiac brand. Downright phuckin disgraceful...
I appreciate the passion you showed for the impala rear wheel drive. Chevy drop the ball on that one.
I felt that in my soul when he said real wheel drive
Yeah, GM dropped the ball on this
@1:43 They don't give a damn what people want, their mentality is "We're going to build it, charge you an astronomical amount and you'll shut up and like it!"
This is how I feel abt almost all fwd cars no matter what it is just why not rwd instead..
My 2014 Caprice 6.0 V8 is the closest thing to a RWD Impala we ever got. Most none car folks think it's an Impala already. My Caprice is a great ride and has a lot of potential. Essentially a slightly detuned and longer wheelbase version of the SS. The SS should've been the real resurrection of the Impala and or next gen Caprice, but even though I like Chevy they seem to have a long-standing rule in place to make 10 awful mistakes for every genius one.
That would have been sick as fuck
You are right this is the car we should have gotten
Fr tho those impalas look sooooo good, never should have been fwd though.
The car enthusiast that created that vehicle must be protected.
A lot of ppl don't know that GM (Holden) made 6.0L and 6.2L RWD sedans from 2008-2017. (Pontiac G8 08-09 and Chevy Caprice 2011-2017 and the Chevy SS 2014-2017)
You'd think that they'd have a team specifically scouting social media to see what people are doing and actual use those observations to create something we actually like for a change
Pontiac G8, Caprice PPV, SS, still fits the bill nicely, thanks to Holden's Commodore.
GM is building cars nobody wants at a price nobody can afford.
From a gm man it's sad and true 😔
Chevy did it. What you want is the 2012 Chevy Caprice PPV!
He means something that the general public can purchase new!!!!! Those new were not offered to the public... only government contractors with special credentials were allowed to place mass orders to be purchased.... we didn't get them until they decommissioned them out!!!! And the Ss never got the Marketing and Media Push it should have gotten out the gate as well as like someone else stated it should have name the impala ss!!!
I literally came across his account 2 days ago I was flabberfuckingasted when I saw this impala🔥🔥🔥
"People who don't work for you make better cars than you" Lmao
I agree. They dropped the ball.
They should have given us the Ute as the next generation El Camino sold it and the Crewman version of it alongside the Colorado. Those things came RWD with a V8 from the factory in Austraila. I saw one on Marketplace the other day that was apparently converted to a LHD Pontiac GTO and shipped to Canida and then Washington. Legal Ute Crewman with a 6.0 LS2, absolute fire.
If people bought utes here, we'd still have them.
@@ItsDaJax They fell out of favor back in the day, but the demand for them has kinda come back. The closest thing we have to a Ute today is the Maverick, and Ford has sold, and recalled, unfortunately, tons of them. The Santa Cruz has also done reasonably well. The thing that's probably keeping GM and possibly Ram (a true Rampage can be made out of the old Challenger and put on a frame) from bringing that type of vehicle back is the EPA's stupid regulations on truck sizing and how it ties to emissions. It's the reason why trucks have become so much larger than they used to be and probably part of why Ram never gave us another Dakota or a 1200 despite having three trucks with Fiat that would fit the demand (Strada, Toro, and Titano).
@@DJ2226 Good thing about utes are they're not trucks. Even if they were available, few would probably buy them. The last one sold was the Baja. The general public wants to sit up tall and have something big. I don't think RCSB exist anymore. Ford is trying to bring out a "basic", "cheap" truck that does appear to be normal sized.
What kinda sports cars they making now it’s no more Camaro I can’t believe it
Preach My brother, Straight up facts!
Chevy lost me when they stopped competing with 4 doors sedans
Happy I still got my b-body impala rolling. Ain’t nothing like it
The impala should have been like the 2014-2017 Chevy SS or the PPV
I they have this version in Australia
I can tell you why the dealership does what they do EPA and the government are to blame
Don't forget the g8 that was the early chevy ss. They just slapped a different front end and talights on it
And that Chevy SS from Australia should’ve been built here and it should’ve been called the Caprice And up until recently the past few years I hadn’t even heard of it. They didn’t even advertise the damn thing.
GM listen to this man!
The 🎥pan in, on your face, while they're revving the engine.. agreed🤝🏾😂
It’s funny that I learn more from your posts than any other “car” guys I’ve encountered
Ivey league schools ain't really cranking out jems these days unfortunately.
This is what we should have got!!!!
They will probably bring the impala back as a EV
These new body style impalas really do look absolutely killer they should have made AT LEAST a transverse LS4 version.
Wow. They made it a front wheel car. Which in return allowed Dodge to control the market.
GM's refusal to compete with the "Brotherhood of Muscle" (Charger, Challenger, and Durango) blows me. Underachieved on the Camaro and GTO. Refusal to bring back some of GMs other classics like the Chevelle and TransAM. Discontinuation of the Trailblazer SS and the two-door Tahoe. GM bitched up on a bunch of killer cars.
The Impala was nothing more than a lumina with an Impala badge
Don't usually comment but AMEN!!! Almost shed a tear I asked all the time like what the hell??? The monte Carlo too...
The fact me and bro said damn at the same time 🤣🤣🤣 1:57
I have a 2017 Chevy impala and I love it I just wish it was rwd
Buddy, we had that in 2013 with the SS, but it didn't sell
Bro spittin' 🔥
I can agree man
Yea I can agree man
Chevy ss, pontiac g8, holden commodore if that's your thing. Too bad gm hates its customers
Sad but truth is 90% of people think of their car as an appliance.
Agreed 👍🏻
Should have made the older Cobolt rear wheel drive also 👍🏻
They definitely dropped the ball. Same thing with the Monte Carlo, I’m sure the looks weren’t everyone’s favorite but I can promise you it woulda sold a helluva lot better with RWD instead of the BS they produced
I been saying this. When they went to front wheel drive on all the classic we grow up on I gave up on cars in general
I love the way you present your content bro keep it up! BIG LS!!!!
I always thought a four door Camaro would’ve been a good replacement Impala SS
I think the Pontiac gto was the last rwd affordable muscle car
I’ve been saying this for years. This is the best body style of the Impala since 1996. What it could have been. 🤦🏽♂️
1:09 Unc lookin like a lil kid when they correct a grown up🤣
0:57 Doing the Moose Nose 😂😂😂
GURU !!! 😂😂😂 BIG FACTS!!
talk your shit ,you speaking facts bro 💯
Ford made that mistake back in the 90s when they tried to put the v8 in the Lincoln continental and make it fwd
GM had a opportunity to build the Grand Prix G8 all wheel drive concept car from the 2000 auto show, but refused to build it, after positive feedback from Pontiac fans and enthusiast. It would have been the Widebody before Dodge Charger.
This was that impala that we supposed to have gotten about 7 years ago, when they came out w/that aggressive Malibu w/the big hood ( the model AFTER the last SS Malibu ) before they made them damn near identical 0:14
Facts 💫
Thank you... I had the 2005 Impala & the crappy Transmission went out twice in a year... I wont ever buy another front wheel drive impala again
man i tried 2 trade dat man my Donk For that Mug...smh
the very first time i saw this car i was amazed. i was like please lord let it be rwd. gm was like the best we can do is V6 with all the bells and whistles and 19 inch wheels
That’s what I’m saying. How many other people have realized that a Honda CR-Z would be the greatest hot hatch ever if it had a v6 with a turbo? They already look sporty and aggressive with a couple body kits.
Truth is, they did build something like this for the Chinese market back in the mid 2000s.
I owned a 2014 Impala ltz and I have to admit what a waste of marketing on a vehicle that should have had a V8 with limitless potencial
Preach
Chevy SS is what your after
