    The problem with these computers is most modern Windows games are going to struggle running on them if you don't put in at least a GTX 960/1050 or GTX 1650/RTX 2060 even if they could play on a 2nd Gen i5 and DDR3 RAM. Also, there are other issues.
    •Running Windows 10 on the HDD is going to be very sluggish.
    •An N150 adapter at 2.4 GHz is going to give you slow download speeds if you don't use Ethernet or replace the adapter. Also, these adapters can have issues in rooms with slow/weak Wi-Fi.
    •The "gaming" peripherals are likely those cheap no-name peripherals you commonly find on Amazon which are *awful* compared to the name brands. The "gaming" mice in particular can have issues with shooters when you move the mouse quickly which ironically _won't_ work well for the games the PCs are marketed for.
    •Due to the age of the hardware, installing Windows 11 won't be possible (unless you can do workarounds to install it).
    I don't know why sellers ship an N150 adapter when an AC600 adapter like the TP-Link Archer T2U Plus isn't too expensive. While an 11n adapter may be fine if using the Internet, anyone who uses it for gaming should get an 11ac adapter or Wi-Fi 6 (11ax) to get faster speeds if Ethernet isn't an option. Back when Windows 7 was released when 11n was used in PCs, it wasn't a problem since games were smaller back then. Since the eighth generation with the PS4/Xbox One and especially the ninth generation, game sizes are very big and downloading a 50+ GB game with an 11n 150 Mbps adapter at 2.4 GHz is going to take a long time.

    Hi, I was wondering if you could help me I’m not really familiar with gaming PCs and specs but I’m definitely not getting one off eBay. I’m interested in getting one off Amazon but I only have a budget of around £400 I’m looking for a PC that could play modern games like warzone Fortnite not too bothered about FPS as long as it goes above 60

    • @Colesygaming
      @Colesygaming  Рік тому +1

      Happy to help. I'll have a look on Amazon for you & see what I think would be a good recommendation for your budget of £400. That's a fairly small budget but I'm sure I can find something that will be usable now, but easily upgradable in future by adding parts to improve performance without having to replace the whole system :)

    • @Colesygaming
      @Colesygaming  Рік тому +1

      So I've had a look & here's my recommendation for you with that £400 budget.
      amzn.to/3qdtBw3
      This PC is £379.95, 5th generation AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, 16GB 3200mhz RAM, 1TB HDD Nicely modern & up to date, brand new with a warranty 👍
      I'd recommend buying this & in the mean time you can game on it using Built in Graphics (check out this video I found of a similar spec PC showing performance in a bunch of games: ua-cam.com/video/_wsuCtIyWCM/v-deo.html
      Then you can save & add a dedicated GPU when you can afford to. Which will HUGELY improve in game performance & adding a GPU is a pretty simple task to do, or I'm sure a local shop wouldn't charge barely anything to do it for you, 5 minute job. Which GPU you go with will depend on your budget & just making sure the 600w power supply in the PC can power it (which it should be able to handle a decent GPU, as long as you don't go too high end).
      Something like a 1660 or 1660 Ti/Super: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07ZPK84RY/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_gl_i_PW5R508WED37NXD8ZZKZ?linkCode=ml2&tag=colesy08-21
      Or a 3050 or 3060: amzn.to/44LLFMS
      Would be a great pairing :)
      I'd also think about adding an SSD alongside the HDD for some nice fast speeds in loading. You can pick these up pretty inexpensively & again they're easy enough to install.
      Hope this has helped & if you have any more questions please just ask & I'll do my best to help & advise.

      For a budget like that, second hand is probably your best bet for something. You're likely still going to end up with something that is a little older & when it comes to upgrading it you might be looking at buying a whole new PC basically :/

      You probably want to look at a Ryzen CPU with built in graphics like VEGA 8. Maybe a Ryzen 3 3200G, with a cheap suitable motherboard, Ram (at least 8GB, preferably 16), some storage even if it's only a HDD. Then look to upgrade in future, add an SSD, a GPU, more RAM etc. It's a system that wouldn't be too old and something decent you can build on in future but should be able to handle those games somewhat at dialed back graphics
