Awesome video. It looks like Delta have really upped their game; however, I will always have a soft spot for JetBlue. THanks for all your awesome content in 2024 and I wish the entire TPG team a merry and blessed Christmas.
When I flew Mint in 2022 from BOS to SEA, I was surprised to see Cacio e Pepe on the menu. This is a notoriously hard dish to get right even on the ground. I decided to try it out, and I am not exaggerating when I'm saying it was just as delicious as any fine dining establishment I've eaten it at.
I’ve flown Mint dozens of times and the only difference between the studio and the non-studio seats is a small “bench” and it’s slightly larger. The service/amenities/food and everything else is identical. It’s barely worth calling it a “better product”.
You can fly mint everyday of your life and that doesn’t mean that the studio isn’t better. Not only does it feel more spacious, there’s actually more room, has an additional tray table, additional seating and cost a premium. It’s not an even comparison. Which was the whole point. Half of the review is based on comfort and JB has a leg up considering they chose the studio.
@@sperrin198787 I don’t think the studio has much of a difference when the seat lies flat I definitely understand what you are saying. They should’ve chose one of the regular mint seats, but the seat itself is not all that different. At least I didn’t feel the difference in the seat
7:31, I love those remotes. They bring back a certain nostalgia for me when flying on airplances, what the heck is wrong with you guys. As a youtube channel that focuses on reviewing airlines and how they are, how do you not like one of the most iconic things about older flights.
Yes it is nostalgic and for sure bring back a lot of memories, but to be frank, I haven't touched them for a long time unless the plane doesn't have a touch screen yet which I haven't encountered in 2024, and I think the last time I even used one of those was in 2016, so it's been a while. And I fly Economy most of the time.
I flew the 764 Delta and I found the seat to be a little narrow for sleeping, but for a domestic flight, it's amazing. Hoping to try Polaris next year.
Hey, Nicky, Delta is rolling out a brand new seat for 2025. They'll be testing it out on their A350s and 767s. I've seen them. They look SUPER comfy!. They'll still have the Delta widget on them. Once again, Delta is upping their game and leaving everybody else in the dust! There's a reason Delta is the best airline in the US. I would even fly them internationally. I swear, we should make some kind of drinking game or something out of Liam and his word "pluffy," lol. Take a shot every time somebody says "pluffy," lol!
I'm very interested in a Lufthansa Allegris review in all 4 classes including the first. My first video of you guys was the Lufthansa review and i would love to see a refresh!
I think on average JetBlue has a slight cost advantage. But depends greatly on exact date. They definitely are cheaper on transatlantic prices, so definitely a good value proposition
To determine which is the best you gotta start with the hard product and in this comparision UAL was using a widebody with the 787. Then UAL's domestic first seat was similar to their international J class product. So i think United wins here. If Delta used their A350 and their international Delta One seat with the doors, they would've won. We'll see what happens when the 767 is gone soon.
UAL is very consistent in their seats. These seats are different from their domestic first class products. These seats are Polaris with they also use on these transcontinental routes
On a side note, AA is phasing out the 321T in favor of a typical 321 config which was J20/Y165 last I flew on one. I think this is a major screw up on their part and unless they replace the 321T with widebody service will absolutely put them at the bottom.
@@jakestechiah AA does not fly anything other than the A321T on JFK/BOS-LAX/SFO, so that is inaccurate. Other routes yes. These will be fazed out eventually by the XLR, but those are delayed at the moment.
Can we get a cost breakdown for each of the airlines??? I love JetBlue and know that they are going to start rolling out lounges in a few airports here soon. JetBlue is my preferred spot and will definitely be an even more hit once they open the lounges
I have flown the same AA narrow body business a few times and have had a great experience each time. I’d like to try Delta One but their prices are absurd by comparison.
delta give you access to the delta one lounge unlike united which doesn't give you polaris lounge access which is a damn shame. Jetblue is opening a lounge at JFK in the near future. Delta wins the transcon battle for sure.
@ in Europe lounge access in Business Class on domestic routes is standard. On the other hand the seats are just standard economy seats in business class even on 4 hour flights, that’s the problem in Europe.
Delta One is a business class product, which is superior to Delta domestic First Class product. Deltas business class is not better than a true international first class
This video is such a refresher from the dreary Noel Phillips, drama queen Josh Cahil and special menu annoying none stop Dan. Thanks for the refreshing take on an aviation video!
A) Brits are actually only slightly worse than Americans with Porsche. Two syllables. Porsch-uh. And B), we get it. The Points Guy is in bed with Delta. But stop making comparison videos that show amenities on Delta that you would never get based on your status, class of service, or fare paid. They will NEVER “surprise and delight” you with a Porsche ride to your aircraft on a domestic Delta One flight JFK-LAX. Last time it was complimentary cocktails flying in Delta’s Main Cabin (not Comfort+) on a domestic US flight. Neither of those things happen unless you are a contributor for The Points Guy.
I'm a little lost- why wasn't Medha's flight eligible for the Polaris Lounge? I feel like it was an unfair comparison to the other lounges as she was clearly in the regular Terminal C Lounge that anyone can access with international flights or a United Club pass.
My husband just flew on Delta one from ATL-AMS yesterday for work. I wish you could post pictures here - he sent me one of a side panel that had been attempted to be re-attached (but was still loose) with caulk that looked like it had been done by a 5 yr old. He thought for a moment that he must be on a code share . He flies delta a ton for work and was really disappointed- his ticket cost the company $11,000.
Well, you can always fly in the first class and it’s a 1-1 configuration, slightly less expensive as Delta one. I would say American Air business class round-trip LAX - JFK runs about $1400-1600, and flagship first about 2000-2400. Delta one probably around 2600+
Right, currently AA offers 3 levels of service on this route where the others offer 2. AA flagship business on this route is glorified PE where as flagship first is equal to, if not better than what the others offer. If he'd have flown AA Flagship first then he would have had a similar experience that Nicky had on the ground at JFK... especially access to incredible champagne in the lounge.
Yes we do, Qantas has flatbed suites on all their widebody aircraft which fly domestic routes every single day. There are widebody flights from Perth to Sydney and Melbourne every day as well as the occasional A330 flight between Sydney and Melbourne.
Hahaha “clean and tidy like my Air India flight” and trying to sell the 2-2 configuration. Can The Points Guy sell out any more? This is getting embarrassing 😂😂
I feel like seeing these characters with ridiculous sized cameras is just such a giveaway and guarantees an inaccurate treatment from the airline and crew. It’s obnoxious.
I fear Delta maybe adding extra benefits or paying for a potential part of the flight for a solid review. Nicky seemed to cover a lot more than the other, was a lot more descriptive, and there was more attention to detail.
He’s just a better reviewer then the rest so they kept more of his content. Tbh they all are pretty bad. Jeb Brooks, and NonStop Dan are all much better
love the channel, love the reviews but Nicky please, "unique" is a one-off. There is nothing that is very unique, it goes along something like, unique, a pair, loads.......
Seems to me this is really a battle between American and Delta for a premium experience. American wins on the food and a more modern craft and Delta wins on the seat and perhaps eeks out a win in the lounge.
she flew in a premium cabin but checked in at a kiosk? blasphemy! premium check-in desks are the only time agents treat you like a person, you can't miss out on that!
Hahahahh Liam trying to make that old AA 2-2 configuration better than it is. Never change Points Guy channel.
Can't really do 1-2-1 on a narrow body. Not really a fair comparison to the wide body products from the other airlines.
@@Trivi10the jetblue flight was also on a narrow body. all seats had direct aisle access.
american has flagship first on that aircraft as well which is 1-1. That A321 is 3-class aircraft which is crazy. Their B777-300 business is 1-2-1
Yeah, that seat looked kinda tight. Basically a glorified PE product to me
I mean they could have flown delta and united first class on that route.. oh wait... ;)

Why not say the cost of each airline business class ticket? So we can see if they are overpriced or a bargin
Why no lounge access with JetBlue? What is the problem with proper lounge access in business class in the USA? Why are the US airlines so restrictive?
Domestic service in general is second-rate to international routes, doesn't matter if the US, Canada, China, India, Brazil, or EU Schengen.
