- I'm sending out my first care package for my husband who is on deployment on a Navy boat. Care Packages can be hard to come up with ideas sometimes so maybe this kinda 'how you or more like 'what to' will help some confused and stumped military spouses like myself.
After doing 10 years in the Navy, I gotta say these are a life saver! Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the ideas! My son’s on his first assignment with the Air Force in Japan. Got my free priority boxes from USPS and getting ready to send one out. Think I’ll decorate it a bit👍

Did the brownies melt? How was it sending meds over? How important is it to write his name on everything?
The brownies held up fine! The meds were fine too. I write his name on everything so it doesn't get misplaced or discourages stealing.

Hi there! So for the post office you need the customs form, which you don't have to be super detailed with. and that's it! that's the only specials thing about sending a care package to a ship:) just remember it will take at least 3 weeks to get there if not more.

Is there a cost for the custom forms? Because I just paid $17.40 online and it's only letting me print the custom form. Do we not need a shipping label or did I do something wrong?
I have question regarding sending 🤔 📦 packages and the customs forms you have to fill out. Dos you have to list everything individually? Or list things as example..>> food/ the quantity/ weight of all the food and value as a lump sum.. then had to list meds .. how many ? Quantity and value? I ask all of this because I want to send a care package 📦 to friends I have in 🇻🇳 Vietnam and I have to fill out a customs form and I was very confused as to how 🤔 to fill it out correctly. Your reply will be greatly appreciated.
I never sent anything expensive so I never put the value. The packages were already taped up so I was going off of memory half the time. Never ran into a problem with customs. I know some countries you can't send certain kinds of things to so I would just double check that. Like no pork items to some areas in the middle east.

Leading up to deployment my husband was on dets on the boat and several times had items taken out of his rack or misplaced. So I would write our last name in hopes that someone wouldn't take his items or he wouldn't loose something so easily.
Can anyone tell me if i am out of USA how can i send this packet to army?
Is, your husband still in the Navy ? And also is there a video when he is leaving for Deployment ?

We didnt do videos of him leaving or coming home.....that would have been just me ugly crying lol! I do have pictures on my Instagram account though.
