I love your Momma! She is precious and so full of wisdom. That had to be so hard to let you go to Chicago....but she is right....ultimately....God takes care of each of us......even if our parents can't be there or if we are unable to care for our parents. He is in control and provides in ways that are often so unexpected!
There is no one like your mom! My mom was my best friend. She's been gone almost 6 years and I miss her more each year that goes by!

Just like yourself your Mam is a beautiful lady ~ This made me think of my Mam who sadly passed away to cancer 14yrs ago. I also have CF. Our precious little daughter Sophia turns 2 on Wednesday. Mother daughter relationships are so very special.

Having 2 children with CF could not have been easy. I know when I was told that my son had CF back in the late 60’s driving him an hour away for treatment 5 days a week was very hard for me especially when I had my 2nd baby. “You do what you can for”! Most of that period of time my husband was not around to help. My son and I were very happy when at 5 years old we were told that he was miss diagnosed 🙁! 19 years later we were told that he had a hole in his septum. He had lived all those years very sick and the doctors never found it. Love your sweet mom that she is only a phone call away when you need her.❤️❤️
I've been wanting this. I'm the mom to a 9 year old daughter who has CF.
Best wishes always to you. I wish Mary could get all of the Pulmozyme doses her doctors want her to have. Things will be better for the younger people like your daughter.
I've signed papers so her results go to help further CF research. Every little bit of data helps.

I miss my grandma she was my mom. We had a strong bond like you do Mary with your mom. She passed from colon cancer, I miss her everyday mommy stuff with me. Cherish the moments with your moms you never know what God has planned for her.

Seeing Mary and her mom together always makes me tear up. I didn't have a mom growing up but that's not what gets me emotional, I have two daughters of my own now 10 and the oldest will be 12 on halloween and they are my favorite people in the whole world and our bonds grow stronger all the time. I don't have much to reference so I can only hope I am doing well enough that they will see me the way Mary see's her mom as they grow into adults and learn more and more what it means to move through the world and it's challenges.

I miss my mama so much when I watch your video. Be so grateful for those moments because they can be taken away so quick. My mom died when i was 16, i found her. I battle chronic illness with the help of my church family, FB family, and friends, but there is nothing that compares to a mother's love.

I love this, I don’t have a terminal illness but I’ve spent a lot of time in the hospital so my mom and I have spent a lot of time together over the years. We have an amazing friendship like you two do. It warms my heart to see someone as close to their mom as my sister and I are with ours. 💕

Just now getting to watch this. My mom and I were exactly like you too. We talked on the phone everyday, even though we lived in the same city her and I would laugh on the phone during her lunch hour. We would talk for at least 30m, then again that night. She passed unexpectedly in 2014, this vlog made me cry, happy tears to remind me how she was, how we were. I miss her so much. You are so very lucky to be with her, cherish these moments.
You made me cry too. My Mom and I are the same, I will miss her so much when the time comes but I will never have any regrets. Make the most of every moment together.
Even if your Mom's visit was short. It really picked you up Mary. Everyone who has long term illness or conditions, they learn to be very descriptive, especially about describing their type pain.

It was soo wonderful to see you Mom, & safe trip home!! It’s so brilliant to see the relationship you have!! I think the health challenges I have has brought my Mum and I closer-we have spent so much time together in hospital/drs waiting rooms etc. I know it was hard for her to let me loose in the world, but like you Mary, it was so important to me to be independent-i think it’s the same for many teens with health issues!
Oh Mary! What perfect timing for this video to me. My CF baby-girl is 18 & started college AND a new pt job this fall. Even though she is going to community college & still living at home, it is hard on this Mama to watch her struggle. She is learning time-management & experiencing the stress of meeting deadlines on top of all her medical responsibilities. She is learning & doing great! But I am learning too.. How to let go & just be there. The transition to a supporting role is not easy on us mamas! I look to my own Mom as a role model & remember how she handled my college years, and I lean on the Lord for His wisdom & peace.
Watching this video reminds me of the bond my mom and I share. I live in Florida, and she lives in Tennessee. I have multiple birth blessings so in a similar way my mom has always taken care of me. She is my best friend. Love you guys, and I'm praying for you.

I also have 2 grown girls they both live in NC and we have all have a great mom daughter relationship. We also make the long distance relationship work as I live in NY. I'm beyond blessed to have a very similar relationship with my mom. She has fibromyalgia as well, and very similar health problems on top of the fibro. I think when you have chronic or terminal illnesses, it helps you to develop deeper bonds.

Jeez Mary I was crying too! I miss my mom so much! I always wondered how your parents handled having two kids with a serious disease like CF. I would love to have a chat with your mon about that. I’m the mom of a child with epilepsy and the struggle is so real! It’s so hard to let go. Except for my faith and trust in God I would never be able to do it. My son is grown and married with kids and it’s still very hard since he’s never been controlled before this last year. I pray for you and your whole family all the time. Love you guys!

My mom was the best. She was my best friend. We lived states apart sometimes,but she was always there with a hug weather it be in person or over the phone . I loved her so and miss her terribly. Don't be embarrassed to cry or hug,she is your mom. We understand. Love and prayers for you all.

Something else that Mary got from her mom, maybe - both are wearing gray. What a beautiful relationship! I knew a visit from Mom would cheer you up, Mary, even if there are tears at parting. I know you are good at hiding how you feel physically but you look like you feel so much better emotionally. That was my mother and I. I lost her when I was 38, just about 18 years ago. The Lord prepared me, by a sense that I needed to make every moment special, and it was, especially the last few years. It encourages me that you treasure your relationship.
