I'm interested in using displays like this for creating animated masks and visors, hence why I'd love larger screens. A see through screen would be super convenient and AWESOME!!
This is amazing. I've been researching small screens for installation into scale rc cars, boats and planes for added realism when displaying things like temperature gauges, speedometers and battery life indicators. This would be the perfect solution, especially for HUDs in fighter planes. DFRobot makes some cool stuff but this actually got my sub. Now I need to figure out how to export real-time telemetry data to one of these. Great work!

DFRobot - nice screen. I'll use these on my robotics applications to allow for a discrete display to output standard system, navigation, telemetry and location information to the clients. I’d also use this as a clear weather information display connected to a raspberry pi and lastly for my solar BMS system output Great work

this could resolve the notch or front camera notches on smartphones. Replacing the notch or cutout with a transparent oled display allows the front camera to have clear views while at the same time enable users to have 100% viewing experience on the display.
Is it possible for a private person to get transparent displays with the same low resolution type and technology but in an bit larger size? Smth like 50x30 (display area)
Are there plans to make larger ones (still on the smaller under 1ft size)? Im having a hard time finding different small sized tranparent OLED displays. Unfortunately this is too small for what i need. Theres this and 3 foot TVs with no inbetween 😂 Ive also found flexible transparent LED film, but they're sold by the meter and intended for massive advertisement displays you see on windows and buildings. Very expensive too.
What would I do? I would use it to turn my desktop, laptop, tablet, TV, phone, or watch into a transflective display Remember the Gameboy Advance SP (or Afterburner kit, in my case)? It would be a little like that, except it could be backlit (instead of just frontlit) and it wouldn't need to constantly refresh To do this, I would put a color memory-in-pixel display in front of it... and a reflective LCD (uniform, not video) behind it That way, my screen could be as sharp as a traditional screen, or as healthy and efficient as a color epaper screen but with a much higher framerate For smartglasses, I would do the same thing (one for each frame) but with two transparent uniform LCDs instead of one reflective uniform LCD (all they would do is limit or isolate the real world from your eyes) As a bonus, I would waterproof all of these displays with a transparent solar charger Saturday, March 18, 2023 CE, 19:04 EDT
can you make Smart Glasses with oled, there is also a rgb version that is transparent when you don't use it, maybe if you use your skills you can watch movies, see the time and messages

ive looked around this seems to be the largest available

I would look for an identical sized version that displays the same but uses a side mounted ribbon cable, I'd then make some a.i. glasses

How fast can one of these refresh? 60Hz or higher?

Sorry, Raspberry Pi is not supported. Since the OLED Display is using the U8g2 library, and Raspberry Pi doesn't have it. Thank you for your concern.
