curious to know what people's semi informed opinions are on what actually creates Jet engine noise. The back of the thing is pretty simple, you have wind shear/friction between the jet blast and the surrounding air. As fan diameters have gotten bigger, i've noticed a more "engine-ey" sound that emanates from them. My assumption is that it's the wake of the fan blades hitting the stationary guide vanes that direct the flow of air within the fan case. Thousands of all these barely audible "thuds" of air hitting, happening in rapid succession, creates this medium pitched noise. Back when i worked as am AP mechanic for a jet engine manufacturer in their flight test facility, we had a smaller turbofan we were testing. that "Howled" like crazy on startup. When i asked the test engineers, they had no clue. The answer i got was "I dunno, maybe the fuel mapping". The irony of that was, they all shrugged off my question like i was stupid. Then one day, i was giving one of the engineers a ride out to the plane while they were starting the engine, and he was like "Holy crap... does that sound like this every time we run it???" "Yep" i replied. They tweaked something and it helped a little, but it was a howly little engine.

トリプルいいね、高い音に隠れている重低音が好き。あと回転数の上がりはじめの｢トゥゥゥウン～｣て音もいいね。
ファンの振動音なのて、大直径でファン枚数が少ないエンジンほど図太い音になりがちです。
ファン自体の対気迎角が大きすぎる滑走開始時よりもある程度速度が付いた脚収納直後あたりから派手な音になりますね。
乗っていると地面からの排気音反射が無くなるので尚更そう聞こえます。

Why does some have smoke coming out of the engine when taking off
Might be water vapour or vortices through the Fan. These engines get there thrust from the engine driving the big fan at the front.
