Em is my fav rapper, and musician in general, of all time but its true, these guys start gettin up there pretty high, maybe a couple decent mainstream singles, but they never seem to ascend into that upper eschelon, like 50 did. I think its because, while he signs VERY talented rappers / lyricist, i think they lack that mainstream appeal to really make the radio on a regular basis and shit, and especially in todays scene. This Ez Mill guy IS an incredible rapper but i also think it will be the same for him....the mainstream today doesnt appreciate just pure lyricists like Em likes to sign. If you notice, im general there are very few crazy lyricists that are truly mainstream today even tho there are a ton of em to be found on YT and have great success in their own right. Id say the biggest that is attached to the Dre and Em world is Kendrick, but other than that, ppl are more into the shit with pop crossover appeal, and that high pitched, singy type shit that are a dime a dozen these days, i dont even know how to describe it and im sure the style has a name....it may be finally starting to taper down some now but ive truly never heard more ppl sound exactly the same in any musical genre.

Same thoughts here.. His voice cracked when he shouted. While admittedly that was part of the performance, I wonder why to some people, the rap and singing part (all through out the entire performance) were overshadowed by that unfortunate voice crack. Ez’s rap sounded so good and it was evident that he truly owned the stage then. For me,Ez is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 💯.. Period!!!

I flew to Cebu to spend time with my family for Christmas. I checked YT to see what was going on with EZ. I saw the short and found this video! What a great gift and surprise! Performing at an NBA Halftime is just the tip of the iceberg. EZ Mil is a brilliant lyricist, singer, video editor/producer and a well-rounded human being. I am so incredibly proud of him. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that’s ok. Majority tho said they initially checked this because of the clip of his voice cracking but ended up admiring him because it didn’t affect the totality of the whole performance. They even ended up subscribing and became a fan.. Fact is he killed it before and after that voice crack( not even in a song or while hitting a note, that voice crack happened while he was yelling not singing) the rest of the performance is absolutely incredible. It trended not just because of the clip circulating yeah it did help somehow but also because he did great and he worked so hard to be where he is right now and gained solid supporters and fans over the years…
