  • Ron digs into his archive of old photos to give us a look at Redington, Steel City and Freemansburg in Pennsylvania, as he works his way west along the Lehigh River. As always he includes some history and a few side trips that relate to the subject at hand.

While only a recent 2016 resident of Easton, I really appreciate your love of railroading and the history of the Lehigh Valley.

Great video, Pete, with many historic photos. I ran many a train past Ron's back yard and I had no idea how many railroad structures were on the property.

My father used to work for Conrail and NS and actually took photos of your G-gauge layout when his train was crawling by one afternoon! Awesome video! Love the scratch built CNJ terminal!

Hey Ron, I first met you at black diamond club and remember all your pictures and later a visit to your home. That was many years ago. Amazing how much home has changed. Hope all is well, enjoying your work once again ! PAUL

Hi Ron and Peter, I am so excited to have found your page with so much historical information and data regarding Easton PA ...the town that my father's side of the family Is from, going back many generations. I am currently modeling in N scale, the forks of the Delaware area, and would love to be able to communicate with you further, and possibly even see your layout. Please let me know how I can communicate better with you...
PS I was also excited to note that my grandfather, like you, worked at Ingersoll Rand all of his life, but probably retired about when you started there.
Thank you in advance, Sean Rader
