- In this episode Ron blends old and new pictures of the Borough of Jim Thorpe (formerly Mauch Chunk) and how he utilized them in the building of his massive O scale model railroad. As usual, Ron includes some history along the way. If you haven't seen the layout video, it can be viewed here:

Ron has unbelievable model-building skills.
Nothing is better than having you tell all of us about the history of the area. Can’t get enough of the history.
Thank you!
history is where we came from
😊😊
Fascinating history.. Thanks loads! 👍
i tried to blend history in all twelve videos 1 more to do.
Where can you go where there were twelve railroads, three canals. two major highways, two rivers and the start of the industrial revolution in America.
Beautiful area. I high railed Jim Thorpe to M&H Jct about 10 years ago in winter. a foot of snow on ground... just gorgeous.
in the fall if you are lucky- weather and tree change its more than gorgeous.
I once built an HO-scale model of the CNJ Mauch Chunk station so I know how difficult making a true-to-life scale model is. Just making the turret/tower was very challenging and took a long time.
15:51 interesting arrangement coming out of the smokebox of #2021 there... looks like an exhaust of some sort with a muffler on it... looks to big to be an air compressor exhaust... maybe some sort of ash ejection system for a self cleaning smokebox?
Always fascinating Ron.

I saw Ron took his lay out down, can you put me in contact with him? I’d like to try to purchase one of the stations if it’s available
stations are in stockertown pa model .R. club donation
most of the stations were given to the Stockertown RR club for viewing.
@@RonaldLuckock hey Ron, not sure if you remember me, I sold you the mth premier 2 rail Lehigh valley heritage diesel, me and a buddy came to your house for the sale and you gave us a private tour of the lay out. I was really hoping you’d sell me the Jim Thorpe station but finding out they have been donated to stockertown model rr club maybe I will try to reach out to them and see if they would sell
