Genos is the mad cyborg who was the first and most effective cyborg created by Bofoi and Dr Geuseno(?) and that’s is the reason why the dr was and has been trying to divert Genos attention from finding the truth.
Nah that doesn't make any sense, cause before becoming a cyborg, Genos remembered that the said cyborg destroyed his home town and his family, i think the mad cyborg is Drive knight

I got a theory.
These last parts about A.I. kind've points back to Genos. This series likes to troll us a lot, but what if Genos's enemy was right under his noise the whole time. What if dr casino's was a RED haring. I mean drive knight still might be the cyborg, but genos in a way lost his humanity as well. Maybe Genos is the mad cyborg.
Just an idea to think about.
And with time travel now thrown into the mix, I don't think your theory is too far fetched. Genos is the only 1 to remember the whole Saitama v Garou time travel saga, as his core recorded everything
Ngl Genos being the only survivor of mad cyborg attack feels sus. Reminds me of Atsushi from Bongou Stray Dogs. The tiger always follow him and wherever he is, there is a tiger attack and it's him. Maybe Genos is the mad cyborg and he is the one who destroyed his city that's why he is the only one survive.

Theory: what if genos finds away to temporarily achieve time travel, and goes to his home village tearing it down to find his nemesis, and got teleported by god to the original timeline not realizing that he was the mad cyborg

Like any robot or Ai..for all of their abilities, one thing that they are not is...alive. for any AI wishing to be truly alive, they need their mind inside a living body. I don't know..Mayne the new arc is bofoi using drive knight's body to get his own body back? Maybe.
It'd be dope if the web comic exists in the original timeline that Saitama left in the Manga and that's why there's this difference.
OPM could easily employ the reverse causality concept based off the fact that from the start of the Manga he was the Saitama that would time travel meaning he'd start in a parallel dimension from the web comic before he ever even time traveled...

Id like to see drive knight be the mad cyborg for genos to take out. It would make for a perfect full circle senerio with their interaction from the end of the first season when drive knight explained to genos that metal knight is your enemy and is not to be trusted. For what it's worth, here's my theory broken down.
1. Drive Knight is the mad cyborg
2. Dr Kuseno made Drive Knight
3. God will attempt to corrupt Genos
Speculations:
Maybe Kuseno was a rival of Bofoi's and he tried this process on himself resulting in Drive Knight (the mad cyborg). If he stole this idea from Bofoi, it would allow Drive Knight to say that the mad cyborg is Bofoi's creation and that Bofoi is Geno's enemy, and have both be technically true, as Kuseno would have been Bofoi's enemy. Deceiving, not lying.
Kuseno used to say that he was reckless when he was young. Maybe he had good intentions but it all went wrong. I don't see Kuseno as some evil mastermind, just a young scientist who got ahead of himself. I believe Genos' story that Kuseno found him and saved his life. I think he was trying to atone for what he'd done.
It just seems like, to me, the whole thing had to be an accident. One that can't be cleared up because Kuseno is dead now. Otherwise you'd think Bofoi would just be like "I know it's Drive Knight because I made him." I think Genos will have a hard time trying to make sense of everything he's going to learn and I think that's where God is going to swoop in. I really don't think God has much to do with the mad cyborg stuff. It'd be interesting if God couldn't affect artificial intelligence at all. But Genos is part human and God seems to just influence whatever is available to him. Or maybe he influenced Kuseno and Kuseno gave up his humanity, like Child Emperor said. I don't know. I'm probably wrong. Completely wrong on all accounts. Can't wait to find out!

I think Dr. Bofoi unintentionally created the Mad Cyborg which is none other than Drive Knight. What if Dr. Bofoi has created Drive Knight to become a real hero yet this cyborg got in contact with the black cube which made Drive Knight a mad cyborg and went to a rampage that killed Genos' family

I think metal knight is metal knight. Perhaps the first or one of the first AI. And drive knight is his son. And in the way a human becomes a cyborg by adding/adapting machinery, AI becomes cyborg by adding/adapting biology. The AI has the ability to hack and assimilate robotics and has done so with the technology that belfoi and child emporer had worked on, also hence why they are both suspicious of each other. Genos, will arrive just before they destroy each oher for no reason, and reveal the truth. Then one of the knights or both appear and either a battle occurs or they begin to hack and assimilate genos to add his great power to their army. Saitama will be freaking out because he cant remember when a sale was happening and is desperately looking for genos for the answer. Showing up oblivious, at the other heroes bleakest moment and destroying both knights same time without acknowledgment as he asks genos to confirm what he thinks.. THEY'RE MISSING THE HALF OFF SALE AT THE GROCERY! all just an over the top way of comparing the absurd difference in power between saitama and literally everyone else. Others broke their previous limits and some were tested and along comes saitama straight accidentally wiping them all out
I think Genos is the Mad Cyborg. Drive Knight just want control over Metal Knight Systems and wants the hero association to believe that metal Knight is the root cause.
So he plots Genos against Metal Knight till he comes to know the truth that Genos had destroyed the village and whole story of his life of being a human and then after the incident he becomes cyborg is a lie.
And that he was coded where he loses the memory of what he did and implanted a false narrative of a story where a mad cyborg had killed.
Genos loses control and becomes the mad cyborg and goes berserk and fights Saitama. But Saitama reminds him of his journey of becoming a hero and reminds him of his purpose and revokes the humanity he still has left. This brings Genos back .
Genos was a human kid when mad cybord destroyed his city.

You followed the purpose of your life to find the mad cyborg only to find out that the story of your life was a lie and that he was the mad cyborg and threat to human society. And that Dr Kuseno was infact protecting not the people but also the one thing that kept Genos a human within. His consciousness and Saitama gave him a purpose to be a hero and climb the ranks. And this will all come in circle when He become the mad cyborg.

At this point exists big diferenced between the manga and the webcomic, but the core of the story its almost the same
The webcomic and manga was different story... Some chapters is better in Manga but most of the time there's a lot better or additional info in the Webcomic.
Manga Highlights:
Suiryu's intro was richer in manga
Tatsumaki vs Saitama is better in manga
Black Sperm has more upgrade
Webcomic Highlights:
Garou and Monster Ark is better, its conclusion was not rushed
Garou schooling S class heros
Saitama schooling Garou
Amai Mask is better here. (He was not toned down)
Sonic vs Flash was not rushed here
Also there are a lot of more info that manga cutted which are present in here.
In summary reading them both was nice... You can blitz read first the webcomic for the richer story then afterwards mesmerized yourself to the manga...
Action wise youll enjoy manga more, but you will feel like it was too short or maybe sometimes too different in comparison to the story Webcomic gives(what they did to Garou's character feels like it was a crime in the manga).
They have some differences, but basically the same story. Just read both.
