- I picked up this Valiant on a marathon mopar road trip the day before this video was shot. Go back one video to see the road trip to pick it up. I was told the Valiant ran but had no idea if that was accurate or not as it didn't run when I picked it up. I had to winch it up onto the trailer. I bought a battery and we gave it a shot. This car will be used for parts for my 67 Valiant known as Llama Barn. Check it out! Hope you enjoy it. The car will be for sale once I get the parts I need.
Such a great job dad, teaching on how to keep a carb car running when it was on the edge!
Thanks! Appreciate it! Hes learning a lot for sure. It’s fun to see the light bulb come on!
Cool project. I think I would save the signet trim....especially the door window trim...maybe the dash trim. Anyway a fun Dad/Son project. Very cool.
Appreciate it! I definitely plan to save some of those things. The chrome trim around the windows and the dash is pretty cool. Thank you for watching!
Nice coronet, I have a 500 , 318, 3 on the tree. Vitaman C orange, burnt orange interior. Of course that slant started.😊
Thank you! 318 and three on the tree is a neat combo! Thats a nice car for sure! Ya, the old slants sure are hard to kill! Thank you for watching!
Looks like a cool project
My soon to be 12 year old grandson came to live with me in December, last weekend we went to our local boneyard to buy his first car, He picked a 69 Valiant, his is white and a 4 door and his has a 318 in it though. being a Mopar guy I loved his pick but was pretty shocked that was his pick, there were 3 "Running" cars in our 2k budget, The Valiant, a 75 Malibu and an 80 Mercury Capri (Merc version of a Mustang) and he picked the Valiant but to be fair the Valiant was the cheapest and needed the least workover all. I gave him the 2K for car (he only paid $1200 for it) the car for him but it's up to him to pay for everything to pay for everything to get it up and going and road worthy by the time he's 16, if he wants a car when he gets his license. I will help him to the work and teach him along the way but it's his responsibility to pay for all the parts, My parents did that with me and I did that with his mom and uncle also. That's the best way to do it because he's putting up both the money and the sweat equitity to have a car to drive so he will take care of it and not do the stupid stuff kids do with it.
Had a 67 4 door Valiant. It had a slant 6 . Back in the mid 90's
They are good cars.
Man, now I want to drive the Coronet... unfortunately it's in Hover Dodge mode. I'll just live vicariously through yours for now, Ryan. That "parts car" has a lot of potential... kinda sad to see it get broke for parts, but the Llama Barn must live!
Haha! Yes, Llama Barn must live on! That car is too cool to keep off the road! I think the “parts car” will still be usable when I’m done. I don’t need a whole lot off of it. You need another project? ;)
@@Mclovingarage I absolutely don't need another project, yet I am still tempted. :D Let me know when it's ready to leave... maybe?
Going over to Rocket today was about painful... too many toys.
@@rennkafer13 I saw your post. That is a candy store for sure! I’d love to go visit some day. I will let you know when the project 67 is ready to leave.
@@Mclovingarage definitely a big candy store... the Petty Blue 73 Charger wanted to follow me home, I just know it did. 😄
@@rennkafer13 haha! Was it for sale?
Nice Valiant! I cringe when I see modifications like that headliner and the shaved doors. Yikes!
You and I both! Not what I would have done that is for sure. The door handles are the hardest part to wrap my mind around. So inconvenient in every way. Looking forward to getting the parts I need to make Llama Barn better and moving it along.
