    But the sweatshirt you are looking at is embroidered. I don't think we can compare a sublimation sweatshirt to an embroidered sweatshirt as far as what you will charge.

    Heather, now that you have had time to use Hello Custom in your personalized designs, I was wondering if you would consider doing a video tutorial on all the ways you can use Hello Custom for your personalized designs. I am confused about things like, can you have a person's name or many names going vertical rather than horizontal, or if you can edit other words in the design, where you give the customer a variation called "custom", where they can choose their own phrase rather than what you have to offer. An example would be "Most Likely To" shirts, where they can choose their own phrase such as "drink all the wine". And anything else you think would be important for us to know. Also, do you find that you have to use a combination of Hello Custom as well as manually doing personalization, or do you find that HC can handle all of your personalization requirements? Your design tutorials are gold! Thank you!

    Thanks for such a great, helpful video, Heather! One question about shipping. Do you participate in the Etsy free shipping guarantee on orders over $35? Because if you do, pricing/profit calculation becomes so much more complicated on these Gilden sweatshirt listings! Your advice will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Trying to find 11oz and 15oz mugs for one provider and Printify only has one provider and their shipping is over $12.00. Can you recommend another provider that gives these options with less shipping for my customers? You are the best. Thanks for helping us all.

    Hi Heather, this is Doug from Edmonton. I’d say hi thanks for the free month of make a few extra bills. It works just typed in your code. It’s funny I have 122 products on my Etsy site. And I have finally 10 sales and I’ve been finding that I’ve sold more mugs, journal books then I did T-shirts stuck few digital products on my page and sold two digital products. I’ve got good feedback so far and all my shipments except for two have been out of time, I have two journals that are a few extra days not shipped out yet. I see that they hold 30% of your earnings. Usually how long does that last I was told three months.

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  5 місяців тому

      Hey Doug, congrats to 10 sales!👏🎉 Journals are a great product to sell and happy to hear they are doing great for your shop! The 30% hold is usually 90 days as they said to you. It’s definitely frustrating but only temporary at least. I had that with my new shop and a few months ago it was taken off and now I have no reservation on payments. Thanks for watching and happy holidays!

    Thank you for your service. I just opened my shop two days ago. However I went with a niche instead of a general store. What is your view on this. I think general shop, opens up to more buyers but also niche is also good because people interested in that niche wont have to look through a bunch of listings not related to that niche. I don't know to carry on and keep building up this niche or change directions. Maybe I can make a general store also... What are your thoughts as the expert?

    Hi Heather! Thanks for sharing! I was curious what to put as far as the attritubes.. would you put Anniversary or Valentine's Day for occasion and celebration? I always wonder if those hinder or help me to use them, I just get confused on how to use them since I would obviously use those in my tags too.

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  5 місяців тому

      I personally like to do Anniversary since Valentine's day only ranks for a few months. You could always keep attributes as Vday from December 20th to January 31st and then switch back to anniversary if a customer filters Etsy search though. At least you're using an attribute, it's still great to have this filled in than not filled in.

    Hi Heather! So what about the SKU numbers? When doing a personalized listing on Etsy should I take them out so they don't get sent straight to printify before I can customize it?

    • @rachelhoover6990

      I’m wondering about this as well!

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  5 місяців тому +1

      There's a few ways to do it and this example is based on if you have manual order approval settings on your Etsy shop so that you can hold the orders until you do the personalization and then push it through manually. If you have automatic order approval, I would delete SKU numbers and write in a made up SKU based on the product selected so '10ozmug' or just 'mug' and the order will go straight to other orders tab and then all your purchase-as(no personalization) orders will go straight through and you do not need to worry about manual order approval. Hopefully this makes sense and I plan to make a video on this either on UA-cam or in my free course to show & explain this further!

    Hi, can you please further explain in detail how you deal with the personalized orders. Thank you 🙏🏽✨

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  5 місяців тому +1

      In the new year I'm looking to do a full tutorial for this. It's a manual process unless you have a software like HelloCustom that can automatically replace your design templates and you just need to push the order through by approving the design. The manual process is where you have to go to Printify, duplicate the product, edit the design template to add in personalization, add the personalization product to the order, remove the placeholder product, and then push through the order. It's easier to show in tutorial but hopefully writing this out helps prior to when that video comes out! 💕

      Hey Melissa, anything over 2000 by 2000 is good resolution. I just made it smaller for my own file storage preferences for just the mockup picture. Designs I always do at 5000 by 5000 pixels, a high res SVG or just over 300 DPI. You do not need to change everything by any means. What you have is great!

If it’s a suspension that happens day of or within 24 hours I’ve had many prior subscribers and clients who this has happened to per an accidental incorrect number typed in or bank setup issue. There’s many reasons outside of that though and I’d contact Etsy to figure it out and appeal. I believe their current contact is support@etsy.com and if anyone knows a different contact please jump in on the comments.
