Cheers from a keen masterswimmer in Sweden! Pure inspiration! Many thank's for upload! Happy new year folks! We are not alone - at all!!! Such a pace for that longitude - unbelievable! God bless!
Damn! They're fast, so fast, and that fast up to the very last inch. Wow, with my 2.5 km every other day with a 62s/50m cruise speed I just look ridiculous
Believe me the depth is not important at all once you got offshore, consider the distance to the shore instead which is much critical for someone with less confidence.
@@brianfosterkinsale4403 for many there isnt a natural body of water within a couple of hours travel. I think the point is it would be great for him and many others if one was within minutes of any lake, River, sea...
These people have been swimming since they were babies! They are probably in Master Class Swimming in which you must swim 3-7km per day, 3-4 times a week-At least 15-20Km per week! They are mostly triathlons: 15 km running, 150-200Km biking and 15-20km swimming per week! They swim in the morning and run at night or bike in the morning and swim at night! One day is reserved recovery! All year around!!!!

I have done this today with 2.45 hours. I'll participate Bangla Channel swimming 2020 in this upcoming 30th November It's 18 k.m in total. Hope I can cross.... My limit is only the sky
I can't remember but I have crossed the Bay of Bengal's Bangla Channel with 4 hours and 50 minutes where I have swam 20 kilometres approximately (the exact distance is 16.1 km)
With that pace, I could swim only in 100m. All the respect to these amazing swimmers and their efforts

The average speed of the 5km swimmers in this race is about pace 1:12, wom so amazing
That one guy couldn't keep his cap on for more than 0.001 seconds after the race started.
HAHA

This may be a silly question, but how deep is that lake? How deep are lakes/seas normally for open water swimming?
PCU wow
Ivan Puskovitch wow

I swam about 4K this week in San Pablo lake in Ecuador and the lowest point of the lake is about 80 meters.
I wish there is a lake in my place like this to keep myself strong even though I can't compete
why would you need a lake like this? Try rivers, the sea, or a lake that isnt similiar to this one. what about this lake is beneficial?

@@barca17 ok thanks. I empathise with those people who live hours away from open water. its on my doorstep
Amazingly super heros , wonderful finish
the competition is so intense
which one won? the orange one or the blue one? Either way, they both deserve to be congratulated.
why did the guy leading at the start switch to backstroke and allow everyone else to catch up. did i miss something?
It is to locate his most threatening rivals..!
