I've been to Cairo twice. 2023 and I just got back from my second time 2 days ago. Why you ask? Because I'm married to my beautiful and loving Egyptian wife and we have been married 5 years today. Egypt is an amazing country.
Good video but the title is definitely missleading. This is NOT "What its really like" to live in Cairo. This is actually what it's really like to live in the worst parts of Cairo. Cairo is one of the biggest cities in the world with a large spectrum of neighborhoods. There are plenty of very luxiourous and modern neighborhoods, and there are plenty of average looking, middle class neighborhoods as well that are not shown in this video. If you are still in Cairo please show a video of that as well, or change the title of the video if you want to be truthful.
I'm sorry but that's what I see mostly when we go to Cairo 😜 And anyway I'm going to take the video of places like Sheikh Zied and Madinati.
I've been there and this was my experience driving around. She is showing it accurately.
I have been to Cairo this January. This is what most of it looks like. Also, I'm coming from a European country so for me even the "middle class" or "lixurious" neighbourhood seemed very dirty and run down.

I see nothıng attractive but poverty and streets full of rubbish few women and a lack of basic services. I do not see the smiling people you claim and am not surprised people want to leave for a better life.

Yes I love it too, it's not ugly and terrifying, but beautiful and so different. I don't like modern areas, because it looks like it's in the West and nothing interesting.
just got back to North Carolina after 2 weeks in egypt - a land of contrasts- the video is a pretty good idea of what it's like off the tourist track

Thank you for showing us the real Cairo...id planned on visiting on holiday..im sad to see it looks rundown in places. Although in other videos of Cairo i have watched so far, the people of Cairo are so friendly and kind...Beautiful people..

There are different areas in Cairo. Egyptians are truly kind and very friendly even in the oldest neighborhoods. The downtown and modern areas are beautiful, but the old part (most of Cairo) looks just like in this video. I'll also publish another video showing clean roads and lots of entertainment.
Traffic lights= zero. Architecture that resembles what they made 5000 years ago =0. Clean street=0. Thin people=0.
