Nirvana fans in 2024, that gives me hope.
It's the best band, duh
@MrOnionCock woah woah onion cock, it's just facts, no band can compete
Rylan Thomas
Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion but I personally think Soundgarden has the edge on Nirvana
@MrOnionCock and there u are wrong, bruh they changed music, they made a huge impact, and have u heard his lyrics, smh
@MrOnionCock bruh, that means u just don't understand, there's so much to their lyrics and it's hard to understand Kurt said he didn't want people to fully get it immediately basically, there a lot of meaning to it except for their song smells like teen spirit it didn't really have a meaning
Imagine if you actually went to this show. You'd talk about it for the rest of your life.
I swear down!!!
So Right! You would talk about it EVERY SINGLE DAY, for the rest of your life!!! I know I would.
if time travel were possible, this would be one of my top destinations
I didn't go to the show and I still talk about it how many years later
Michael Stipe missed it, and has talked about it for 27 years.
I'm 48 and this still sends a shiver down my spine
I am from algeria and i love Kurt Cobain and nirvana
The intro to this one never ever fails to give me the biggest goosebumps.
I'm 60 and this is awesome.
So... listen to bohemian rhapsody
Im listening while on night shift in 14degree weather and i to have chills
I always loved how gentle Dave is on the drums at MTV Unplugged
Kurt wasn't happy until Dave played using those brushes. Dave was a heavy hitter
He was right. It was probably too loud@@roddyboethius1722
Yes! He was so chill lol
Screw Dave. Sellout
now i cant unsee it
Cobain's voice is so raw he sounds exactly like he does on his records
Micah looks like kurt cobain xd
Love the pfp
Lane staley. Alice in chains is the same
Better in my opinion
what a surprise....it was before autotune and plastic people
I personally feel this is one of Kurts best vocal performances. Perfection.
This entire set was basically flawless. Historic
Maybe
Definitely maybe
agree!!!
I would have to agree. Makes you mad he wasn't around to do more after hearing him sing like this.
It's insane how calm kurt is, hitting those high notes
Duh, heroin…

Also Kurt: what are the Meatpuppets doing?
The disrespect is crazy on Dave and Krist
Saw the meat puppets live this was better.
Nirvana, dysfunctional and passive aggressive to the end.
Nirvana:

When you are young makes you think
When you are an adult makes you cry.
Thank you Kurt to makes me pass all those steps of my life
I m never able to catch every word i just fly bliss on nirvana music its beyond beliief
I love their music, but 70% of their lyrics is just gibberish that sounds cool. Don't try to find deep meaning where there is none, it's pretentious.
That growl in his voice is truly one of a kind they’ll never be another Kurt cobain same to be said for Layne Staley two artists who could never be replicated
Я знаю, что пишу на русском, но если у кого-то будет хронический ларенгит он может спеть что-то на подобе
Could say the same about Eddie veder, although the best will always be Mike Patton. The man of 1k voices. Ik what ya mean tho
Add Eddie vedder
Bradley Nowell
Lane Staley was replaced though…
Kurt doesn’t know what to do with his hands without a guitar
Well, he did try to get ppl to clap along with the song at the start but nobody did. 🥺
@@MusicRainfield i think he was just trying to keep the tempo because its a very cobain thing to lose the tempo live but during this entire performance of mtv i think he kept it together very well

This is honestly one of my favorite songs by Nirvana
The Meat Puppets
The meat puppets not Nirvana
It's a great cover!
You mean one of the best covers by Nirvania
Kurt and nirvana did good coverage 👏 👍 the song.
Whats amazing here is that Kurt performs as if he's alone in the room - he's completely in his own world and realm, and just lets his voice take over the room.
AND they did all 14 songs back to back in a single take!!!!!
in my opinion the greatest mtv unplugged performance ever
Yep, only one I've heard that comes close it Eric Clapton's because many of the songs are totally rearranged, excellent blues covers, etc. Kurt's voice is so piercingly honest though, so I put this as the best. Eric and Kurt had a lot in common, on stage and off.
Terscheckii 35711 they could not have been any different lol, They’d probably dislike eachother too
This and AIC but their acoustic tone was so bad shame cos layne killed it just as hard as kurt did
Ya think. This is one of the best performances of all time anywhere
@michael bergeron AIC was tight bro! RIP Layne! So sad Heroin got its hooks in him!
The vocals man... No training, no coaches. Just pure grunge. I'm not much of a singer but Kurt just brings everything out, the moment when all shame and fear becomes power. The moment when you don't care if you hit those notes right or wrong, the moment when you become the music.
Just absolute beauty this band and this man was.

The nostalgia I feel watching this unplugged still gives me chills I was 14 years old and rushed home after xmas shopping to watch this as i time recorded it on VHS. R.I.P. Kurt Cobain 1967-1994

Dennis…YES. I was 15 when nirvana recorded unplugged. Love it so much.
Old age unplugged would be a dream. Still their unplugged set was truly the best ever in the history of MTV Unplugged.
No doubt
It was actually considered and maybe rehearsed during the rehearsal and preparation for unplugged on november 16 and 17 in New Jersey along with tracks like Been A Son, Marigold, Molly's Lips, Screen (that's an unknown track), Here She Comes Now, and Molly's Lips.
Imagine how different unplugged would have been with these tracks on the setlist

LYRICS
Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to Heaven where the angels fly
They go to the lake of fire and fry
See 'em again 'til the fourth of July
I knew a lady who came from Duluth
Bit by a dog with a rabid tooth
She went to her grave just a little too soon
Flew away howling on the yellow moon
Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to Heaven where the angels fly
They go down to the lake of fire and fry
See 'em again 'til the fourth of July
People cry and people moan
Look for a dry place to call their home
Try to find some place to rest their bones
While the angels and the devils try to make them their own
Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don't go to Heaven where the angels fly
They go down to the lake of fire and fry
See 'em again 'til the fourth of July
