    @Itachisel yea handstand will def. help!
    its more momentum unless your going really slow, then its more strength, but its always a little bit of both
    lets see when i started, it was like 1hr a day 6days a week for the first 2 months
    then 30mins 2 days on one day off for like 3 months
    then from sept to dec it was like 30 mins 3 times a week then jan- now its like 30mins-1hr 5days a week
    im not really good at freezes but my friend said being able to pike helped him

    Thanks Pigmie123... It took me 18 months, 3 sessions a week after work (very tired), 2 hours each session, and I finally got them. Mine came all at once though, I was stuck on 1 and 2 for months, and then in the final month, everything came together and I landed multiples... once you know what it feels like to do multiples, it becomes infinitely easier, you finally understand the move...

    @LooseG00se my left leg used to just kind of stay still and i used to try to power myself over with my arms, but watching other people do it it made me realize that i needed my left leg to sweep up to give me lift, for the first couple of days trying to sweep my left leg, i felt like i had no control, but then in may i started to get control and the sweep helped me get over and almost go into two!

  • @FocusedLucas
    @FocusedLucas  13 років тому

    @crispynoize yea for catching you want to throw your hand down fast, dont expect to float onto your hand, youve got to want it!
    and for continuing you just need to go for a second airflare right when you catch your first even if your second one is crappy... hope this helps, o and check out my airflare tutorial at about 4:00 too!

  • @FocusedLucas
    @FocusedLucas  13 років тому

    @Hotboiruben2 no I got them both at around the same time.... but i pretty much had airflares first, unless you consider flares where your feet touch the ground complete flares

    i love this kinda videos cuz they show the effort behind the results

  • @FocusedLucas
    @FocusedLucas  13 років тому

    @24BoA9 I had windmills, but my flares were crappy, like milked flares where your feet touch the ground and you crunch in the back, you know what im talking about?
    but i wouldnt say you have to be able to know any of those moves before learning this move

  • @FocusedLucas
    @FocusedLucas  14 років тому

    @cwalkhurdler no you dont have to be able to do this to be able to do headspins, halos or windmills, OR the other way around, it just depends how willing you are to learn a move and how much effort you put into it

    @ameer2109 hey trying to eat right really helps, eating protein and fast acting carbs after a session (workout/ whatever) helped me recover inbetween training.... just look up basic fitness stuff... o and i lift weights which seemed to help a little, BUT I ONLY LIFT ONCE A WEEK ON THE LAST DAY IM BREAKING BEFORE ATLEAST TAKING A DAY OFF!!!! hope this helps, but remember everyones different, so you need to find a secret that works for you!

    How do you hop in an airflair, do you kick ur opposite leg up to get momentum for the arm your hopping with or do you just push you arm torward the ground to get the hop

  • @FocusedLucas

    @aciducen1995 just keep going dont get discouraged thats pretty much the secret....it takes time and hard work...its ok if you can only handstand for 4 seconds, thats good! just enough so that you are comfortable being on your hands, so you dont injure yourself!

  • @TheJChubby
    @TheJChubby 12 років тому

    Alright so I can hit one airtrack, but it's ugly my catching arm is a little bent my legs aren't as straight, and I believe I do more of a hopping than swinging, and my throwing arm tends to go over my head rather than over my chest. Is this something I should just keep on practicing? and it'll get better? Or do I have to re-learn the whole move?
