Hey my man, i just want to thank you for this video! My son is 8 (almost 9) and got into breakdance about 1-1½ years ago and his favorite move is the air flare. I showed him the right technic to learn ut but because i cant do it myself it is hard. He watches your video everytime we thinks "i never get this right" and goes on. Last weekend he did his first air flare! Just one! But landed it and it looked good and he could not be more proud! I will record the progress for the next years everytime i am with him at training and want to do a video like this for people to not give up!
Respect for being consistent! I have never made it past the 1st airflare! You made me cry from joy when I saw that you managed to do it! I am 36 now (I used to do 1 airflare when I was 16), I have a broken wrist because of an accident but I am training hard again at the moment to make it work! Thank you for inspiring me again after so many years to keep pushing myself to do it!
You doing amazing just by stepping back into bro! Remember to keep conditioning a priority to prevent injury!! Slow but consistent ALWAYS wins the race
@@silentbboy1 I used to be a professional football player and I had a very bad injury (had an operation in order to be able to fix it and now I have lost some degrees from my wrist rotation)
@@bhc6278 I. To could only ever do one round of airflare back iin the day. I also had an injury that over time fucked my arm to the point of no return.I had to resort to learning elbow airflares instead. Even after over 5 years..I can still only really done. Best iv done is catching two. But only from stall. These moves are very very hard for some of us. Despite istill not being able to get it I continue to train it at age 40.
I’m also 13 and I’m beginning to learn the airflare, flare, and windmill. You have inspired me to one day be able to do the airfare consistently, or do it period!
Remember to train as much flares as possible cause it will give you strength PLUS when your flares are peefect the other powermoves comes almost automatically
After 5 years you are much better vut i think you should pick up the speed..most professionals i see they burst into speed maybe you should try adding more speed into those speed..you are on your way to greatness good luck and dont injure yourself.
Hey man I know you might not see this but I was wondering if you could give any tips on how to find break dance communities near by? I recently got into break dancing within the last few weeks or so, got my head stand, hand stands down pretty well, working on my top rocks, 6 step, and a few other moves but honestly would love to find some people who are just as interested in it as I am. Any tips would be appreciated!
so for me that first leg i realize it's gotta go back so you can twist around your arm. before i was trying to do it all with my swooping leg.. but i noticed your learned with your leading leg and started swooping your other leg later.. but that first leg that goes up helps get the ground behind you.. so i'm assuming when you put both together, helps your hips stay high above you head when you catch .
hmmmmmmmmm yes but I would have to see your situation, U can dm me on insta at: matic_ruter and send me what your airflare looks like as well as explain your situation and i can take a look at it and give you some tips :)
There's no such thing as vertical airflares/ high airflares/ or walkover airflares. Unfortunately, it is just a scam created by youtubers who attempt to sell their courses. The hopping airflares have been perfected by Asian b-girls because it takes less muscle however it is currently being kept a secret in 2023.
The only thing that is really helpful out of these is the one arm handstand, I feel like if you start today and continue practicing every day, and watching tutorials and stuff like that you could get it done in a few months, (one airflare) but to do continuous airflares will take you at least a year if not more, this move is hard to learn no matter how much calistenics/breaking skill you have) so just keep practicing
Also note that I know people who practice with me and were able to do 1 airflare before me but are still stuck on 2 or 3 and have been for the past 5 years, cause they weren't consistent with the move
5 years is too long. Perseverance is good, but only when it is not a long way. You can just persevere all your life and do something wrong. I suggest you pay attention to technique more carefully. And know exactly what you're doing and how you're doing it before you do it many times. You memorize the wrong moves and reinforce them day in and day out. It's a long road. First you have to answer one question: do I do this element with my arms or legs?)
not everyone picks things up fast you kjnow..iv trained elbow airflare consistently for over 5 years and i still can only do 1...Again .not everyone picks things up fast regardless if you pay attention to technique or not. some people just dont get thigns quickly and take alot more time to get down..i know this beacuse i am one of those people.. being a slow learniner is not something you can change so please show a bit more respect to others that dont pick things up quickly. this guy did great for getting this move in 5 years.
For the most part I'm not depressing, just writing as is, much respect for your love of your work, diligence and hard work. But we all want to be better, to make more beautiful, and here one respect can't help us. Because you get respect when it looks beautiful from the outside and people don't care how long it took you to get there. It's the result, here and now. And I'm not speaking from the viewer's side, I'm speaking from the experience side. From myself to him, not for public view.
It wasnt five years of training every day and neither did I train airflare every practice but in the first 3 years it was only twice a week if i had been more motivated back then i prolly could've mastered it in 2 years max
@@silentbboy1 good for you dont listen to that hater.. also i am stil lstuck with only 2 round of elbow airflare. some things dont come easy for people. es when thy have horrible injurys thay have to deal with for life.

Damnnn crazy bro how u kept the footage from 13!!!! i could only do 1 air track..its hard az fkkk!!! lol Good times i was 17 im 42 now
Yeah lol
very nice🔥

Amazing! How often did you train?
4 to 5 times a week and half the training session was just doing airflares
How easy is it for you to do them at a lower angle ?
Lower the angle the more strength it takes but the easier it is dude that's the trade off 😊👊🏼
Rn it's pretty easy since i started learning it that way, had I started in a more vertical position it would be hard to lowe them
do you have any videos of you doing them at a lower angle ? I sincerely don't like the way vertical ones look ( on anyone )@@silentbboy1
This shit is so fucking frustrating man, any tips on how you keep your hips up without it falling as soon as you jump?

great progress! :)
I am trying to learn as well, may I ask how much you practiced per week? e.g. 1hr/day and 4days/week?
Rn 2-3hr/day and 5days/week but back when this video was recorded I only practiced about 1,5hr/day and 4 times a week

@@kendalgee5808 there is walkover airflare. they require incredible shoulder flexabilty though.
@@kendalgee5808 who are these bgirls who have perfected the hopping airflares? Would love to check them out
Suppose I can:
1. Planche
2. One Arm Handstand
3. Pancake Stretch
4. Middle Split
How long if I learn this?
