- Duke Softball and Oklahoma Softball played in the opening round of the 2024 Women's College World Series. The winner would advance to play UCLA on Saturday, while the loser would face Alabama on Friday in an elimination game.

The best part of my work as a UA-camr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other UA-camrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Duke switching pitchers was dumb. The first was doing good .
OU would have still beaten Duke.
@@jwbjpb1338 never said they wouldn’t have. I’m talking about the pitcher switch that’s all.
I agree, the first one was doing really well but I think their coaches plan was to keep OU off balance but switching it up. That way in theory they couldn’t make adjustments as they went through the order for the second time. Not a bad plan but OU is just so good.

OU was starting to get too many hits off her and started adjusting. Coach was trying to throw them off by putting in a new pitcher. I’m surprised she let the second pitcher stay in as long as she did.

Why? What makes this any different. If you’re losing that bad, you’re losing that bad. Plus, they don’t have run rules in the champ series.
@@Slibbs_Bathena_WandaVision I think just to give teams some sort of last hail mary/miracle chance that people like to see. I agree, in most cases, probably wouldn't happen. But there's some teams that can probably erase an 8 run deficit in 2 innings. They also changed the rule in 2022, even the champ series has the run rule now.

@@user-pk6dl8dt8h But all jokes aside.. I'm really not that cocky and think it's an automatic title for oklahoma..anybody can lose on any given night. They have some tough games coming up. But one thing is for sure. These same girls have won 3 straight national titles..and they seem to start playing their best softball in the world series. And from watching them today. That so far looks to be the case as well. But we will find out next game. The best thing for texas is to have oklahoma lose and not face them in the championship.
