I’m genuinely curious as to why net over rod and reel?

Thanks for watching our video. We do this to feed our family. We don’t do this for sport we do this to support our families. These are hatchery fish from our Native American 🇺🇸 owned hatchery.

@@jacksonworkshop Yes this year has been great. The last 3 years have been low on return numbers at the hatchery. Big healthy fish

@@djfish6143 awesome. Can’t wait to get down again. Been gone 7 years in the military and dying to catch some fish again. Stay safe. Thanks for the insight again!

The nisqually gets awesome runs of king salmon due to the tribal hatchery at first creek. I see people limit out all the time with rod and reel. Don’t see anything wrong with this.

Over 80% of our fish get caught in the ocean by nets that are over 5 miles long from china. So you should really say this to people who rape are oceans

If you want our runs back....maybe just maybe stop netting for a few years see what happens

Our king salmon are a 100% hatchery fish made by native Americans and only return to our hatchery to die so unfortunately if everyone stops fishing they will just die and not repopulate the river. These are not wild salmon but grown by the Nisqually Tribe for the tribal people, and we let sportsmen catch our fish. So if you ever caught a salmon on the nisqually river, thank a Native American
