You should let the asphalt cool to the touch before mixing in the extractor chemical. Shake the asphalt every 2-5 min to keep it from sticking and clumping. When it bubbles like that it is emitting harmful gasses you will regret later in life. Other then that great video thank you for education

Sir I need your help I am from Pakistan. We make mix design 4.2 bitumen content in one tone we use 42 kg bitumen. 0.5 tone we put 21 kg bitumen content. We have done Extraction bitumen % 2.5 that mean 25 kg considering but other Engineer said to that is less bitmen 4.2% I shall be very thankful to you to guide to me

Good initiative..... i suggest you use Benzene and standard extractor filter paper... you will need ONLY 1 not 3 or 4.....

Bowl is compulsory but you can dry filter paper also but not required.

Sir, Bitumen content ka kuch limit hai kya ? Suppose as per design hamara bitumen content 5.5% to extraction mai kitna hone se ooh pass hai?
+/- 0.3 % of design content i.e 5.2 or 5.8%
