I think there's 2 things that need to happen before Boesser's really a consideration for a trade: 1- JT Miller's trade finally gets finalized to somewhere for someone - the Canucks won't know what cap space they have for returning assets or resigning Brock until that deal's done 2- Brock Boesser, and the rest of the team has to spend the next couple of months, leading up to the deadline, not performing well. I think if Boesser's playing well, the team has the cap space, and Brock clearly wants to be a Canuck 4 Life, they'll sign him if it's possible and there's no very compelling reason not to. You can't put a price on the morale boost of a guy who's enthusiastic to play for you, and can play well.
At this point I don't get invested whenever NHL pundits say Columbus is a team to look at for a trade. Yes they have the cap space, they have atteactive assets; but they didn't even bother calling about Pettersson, and seem in no mood to trade away their assets. Looking at their moves, it's Jiricek (who forced his way out), a few UFA signings, and two waiver pickups. And even the waiver pickups, they extended Zach Aston-Reese, they're trying to extend Fabbro, there's talk that they're looking at keeping Provorov and JVR. If they weren't willing to move any of the guys that teams are interested in for a player like Pettersson, then those players people want are just off the table, and their attractive assets drop to what...two 2025 1sts? Kevin Labanc? Perennial AHL All-Star Trey Fix-Wolansky? Jack Johnson? They just dont seem like a team willing to pay the price to go big game hunting. Or any hunting. Maybe a 3rd pairing shut down RHD and an upgrade at goalie? If they want Boeser, they're gonna wait until the off-season unless Allvin pulls a 180° and decides he wants futures in that kind of trade. Sens seem more likely, they cant seem to find a fit for their 2nd line at wing. That feels like where Boeser's game is at, and the Sens feel more "open" to moving roster players. Shane Pinto + a prospect/pick feels like an interesting move, especially if Miller doesn't fetch an NHL ready center in a trade return.
Hope Brock goes to a good place away from the trash organization that is the Canucks I feel sorry for Hughes he deserves to go to a good team The rest of roster I could care less about
Brock is a rental at the tail end of his career. He’s maybe got 2 years left in him at his age so I don’t thank you are getting an actual asset at this point maybe a mid range pick if you are lucky.
It’s not the $8m. It’s the 8 years. He already plays like a 35 year old
Marchenko, fantilli, werenski, Voronkov, Johnson are immovable they are too valuable
Depending what you get for Miller or Pettey whoever you choose to move you would be better off moving Boeser his 40g year was a career year
Miller for nemic and a 1st mercer and some cap dump 2 mill player then trade boeser 1st round and hoggie for kent johnson and some d propect
hope we don't lose king BIG BROCK BOSER

Where do you go to see the 'projected' stats?
The only worth while player from Columbus is Kent Johnson. Vancouver might take a deal involving him, otherwise I’m not sure anything gets done.
The jackets should target rantanen in free agency instead of Boeser

Hey, idiotic clickbaiter, I heard from very unknown sources that all teams want every other teams' players. Get to it with a video.

Hes 28
devils fan big interest in brock boeser
I'll miss Brock. But this core is dysfunctional and a decade has proven that it can't win.
