Agree with that post- Rassmussen doesn't play with any power at all. He has no idea how to use his size and gets pushed around more than guys half his size - it's very frustrating. I'd rather have Valeno out there instead of Raz, at least he plays hard and has speed.
Hopefully elmer can be like ras but actually use some physicality, ras would so much more valuable to the wings if he wasnt scared of putting it out there
How's his passing game though? Inaccurate passers generally pass with the same accuracy. The redwood line had a big problem getting in the zone, and this is 2/3 of them. They won't ever get an o zone faceoff, so what are we doing? Still, a guy that size brings intangibles that are hard to quantify, so what the heck do I know?
SO we already have a slow team with Kane, Debrincat, Ras, and now Soderblom. We need playmakers and speed. IMO the Yzerplan is failing and failing bad.
@@andidrw1 ah yes but have you heard about some European child they drafted from peewee who might some day be old enough to make the bottom six? Detroit’s prospect pool is DEEP.
Elmer is RW's most overrated Swedish prospect. I've already said that he has this year to prove if he's really something for the NHL. I give him very low odds to reach that level: 7.5% chance that he'll manage to take a spot and keep it. He has everything without knowing how to use his size. I'm also thinking that he'll be given a few games as a showcase for future deals. BTW Lego, how difficult can it be to reproduce correct information, when there is 6'8" in front of you. As a Tuber who uses other people's content, it's regrettable that you can't read correctly and mostly click bait you stoff.
6'8" Elmer will play with 6'6" Michael Rasmussen and 6'2" Christian Fischer. The redwood tree line! Cool.
What if Ed was on the ice at same time 😮
Elmer is 6'8", not 6'3"
Stevie Y is showcasing and setting up for a trade ahead of the deadline March 7th.
If Soderblom could learn to use that huge body, he could definitely provide the Wings with the physicality that has been sorely lacking for years.
I think he takes too much time generating speed. Leg drive on that frame has to be better.
Just watched him Saturday in GR against the Cleveland Monsters and he looked GREAT
I think it’s going to be interesting at least. I think it’s a creative move with little to lose considering he will play like 12 mins

I think this call up is bigger than people think, I think the trade is coming soon that’s why they are calling up
I Love Call Ups. If we're not a cup contender there's No reason Not to get Our youth some EXP.
The new coaches will have a chance to develop Elmer into a good minute munching forward....

Adding lots of grit for potential playoff run.
don't think it's all that much grit in his game

He is a Minor leaguer
He’s definitely projected to have an incredibly low ceiling.
@ wings don’t really have anyone good in ahl they are probably 2nd to bottom line players

He was a 6th round pick who showed a modicum of potential to play adult hockey, projecting to be an LCA janitor.
He’s hardly overrated.
