- We almost didn't want to share this living in my camper van - RV Life. Living in our camper van over the past 3 years has been an incredible experience and we would not change it for the world. There are times however when we need to take a break and get some quiet time before heading back on the road living in our camper van. In this RV life adventure, we venture to one of our favorite hidden gem camping spots in the mountains and share with you something we thought we might just keep a secret.

I love getting up pretty early when camping...there is someone special about the mornings in nature.
Hello Tanya and Dave, the facility in the video Dave mentioned (near the telescope) is actually a juvenile detention facility called the Spring Mountain Youth Camp. These young men help the Forest Service with road repair and trail maintenance. Approximately 100 youth at that facility.

My all time favorite is ribeye steaks marinated with freshly ground sea salt and pepper, fresh garlic slices, extra virgin olive oil, a few slices of lemons, and fresh rosemary. These can be cooked in the grill or pan grilled served with mash potatoes and grilled asparagus.

There's a very similar campground up here in Washington. It's at 5500 ft and has amazing views of Mt. Baker and is private as well. During the summer, it's 350 dollars a night. It's nit accessible from October to May or June

I’m not really know if you call it downtime but we leave every Month for a week for 7 months. Winter here is 5 months. Our 7 weeks being gone is awesome to relax and reflect and have fun! We are not full timers but enjoy our time together ❤

pretty sure that structure is the "Angle Peak" observatory. I'm a LV rat and love it up there. the other side of Charleston is just as awesome and far less crowded.
Try some Dale’s Steak Seasoning & Marinade (I love the original but I’ve switched to the low sodium as I have gotten OLD!. I let meat marinade in the Dale’s then right before tossing meat on the grill, I will sprinkle the Montreal Steak Seasoning on. There is also a Montreal Seasoning for chicken and pork too.
Another great seasoning is Badia Complete Seasoning. It can be used on EVERYTHING! 😊
Not sure what you guys saw but I was watching the skies from my front yard in Anchorage and I saw a couple satellites cruise by…they just look like a light the size of a twinkling star and they move slowly in a straight line. At least I was told that’s what they are but I’ve been seeing them for years and especially when you get out on the highway past the street lights…they are so neat to watch, just takes your imagination to levels beyond.
Satellites, especially Star-links, are visible when the light is just right. There are so many of them now, it is no longer unusual to see them. However, what they are seeing now might well be a comet since there are expectations of seeing one right about now.

If you had any apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar or even red wine vinegar you should try that to your marinade because it helps break down the fibers in the steak to make it more tender. Curious how that marinade works??? It sure looks good though. Fun times 😊

Your video is getting me psyched for our upcoming trip from Portland heading SE to Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. We don’t travel full time but try to get out on trips for a month at a time when we can.
