In September my boyfriend of 7 years at the time now husband broke his wrist from skateboarding. He fell so hard he got a concussion and couldn't remember much. While at the hospital he flatlined for 15 seconds as a reaction to something he was given. Luckily he came back on his own and he's fine now, but... It was the scariest thing I ever had to go through. I know the feeling, and it's horrible to have someone you care about so much get hurt. But, it makes you take a step back and realize that anything can happen at any moment and you become more grateful for every second you have with the people you care about - because we don't know how much time we have. We were engaged and were going to have a big wedding but when I realized what is important I decided to just go through the court with all the people I care about and the people that care about us. I just wanted to be with him, it didn't matter how it was done. We've been married for a month now and I'm grateful for him everyday. His memory is ok and he's doing physical therapy. Anyway, sorry for the long message but I just related so much that I wanted to share that. I'm glad both you and Ben are ok. :)

It was one of the most traumatic moments of MY life because by the time I finally got to him he was on a stretcher with his eyes closed and a brace around his neck. I thought something MUCH worse had happened and I completely broke down. He broke it in four places and needed surgery... The days before the surgery were terrible because he was in so much pain... His eyes had huge dark circles because his body was physically exhausted.
