- The next time you head over to use an elevator and spot a group of people excitedly shooting videos of the ride, take note. You may have very well run into 39-year old Andrew Reams and his friends. A passionate elevator aficionado with a desire to travel the world’s elevators, Andrew’s UA-cam page is filled with videos of him and his friends riding elevators of all kinds.
Here's his story www.kone.com/en...

Wow. I can't say how thankful for the support! KONE thanks for believing in me!!
I like elevators and I have been one of the earlier filmers in the community (2008-09).
:)
AWESOME, DIESELDUCY! :DDD You make amazing videos! I have autism too! :P One last thing. Has this made you like Kone elevators more?
When I rode my first elevator It’s was like wow
Andrew I am autistic and love elevators too
Thank you KONE for providing Andrew with these visits to Espoo and Tytyri!
So awesome to see Andrew get featured in a high production video from such a large company! The way he has taken his own passion for elevators and used it as a way to reach out to others with autism like himself is truly inspiring, even to myself as someone who does not fall on the spectrum.
Thank you KONE for featuring my comment in this video! It’s truly an honor to represent this amazing community.
I have to agree with all of this. Andrew was the one who got me into filming elevators. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be where I am now. Great video KONE!
Thank you KONE for providing this experience for Andrew. You truly are a great company! Congrats DieselDucy. You did great along with all of the staff you encountered including the behind the scenes staff that put this video together.
This was awesome! Thanks for following me for so long as well :)
Excellent video! And what great backstory for both Andrew and Kone! Maybe one or more of us elevator UA-camrs can grow up to become an elevator engineer.
Soooo Nice that You Guys from KONE did. this for Andrew! I personally wat to visit the KONE-Academy in Hannover, which is Really Nice!
I have watched Diesleducy’s elevator videos for more than a decade and his videos are still so enjoying even to today!
KONE thank you for making this video for Andrew! He is a huge inspiration to all! I have to say Andrew was also a huge inspiration to me because he help me overcome my fear of getting stuck in an elevator just by watching his videos.
Andrew you have also help me gain a lot of knowledge by showing me that there's all kinds of different companies that make elevators, and for also showing me all the different types of elevators there are in this world. Because it is extremely important for me to know what type of elevator I'm using because I'm in a wheelchair, and that makes me depend on elevators in my every day life.
A great UA-camr featured by a great elevator company!

Amazing video. What is name of this music?
I love ELEVATORS now.
Before I am going to tell you how this hobby started for me, I want to tell you something that will sound interesting for y’all who work for KONE that are reading this.
Back when I was very little, I was at a mall in my city called Southcentre Mall, and I rode an elevator in that mall was a *KONE MonoSpace!* And what’s so interesting about it is that I was so little and I didn’t know better, but I went for 40 rides on it... Yep... I was SO little back then and I loved elevators so much.... so that’s why if you were actually wondering about something interesting.
Anyway, here is how my hobby for elevators started:
Just by watching one of DieselDucy’s videos.
And, only if Andrew and Jacob (TEC) didn’t have UA-cam channels, I wouldn’t have a youtube channel and huge thanks to both of them for starting my hobby for my elevators. And here’s how it started:
So when I was 1, I was searching around on UA-cam, and I found an elevator video by Dieselducy.
Then I clicked on it, and watched it. I thought it was super cool, so I watched more and more elevator videos by Andrew. After watching a TON of elevator videos by Andrew in a few months, I became hugely interested in elevators and what I wanna say is just a huge thanks to Andrew Reams and his friends for starting my hobby for elevators. And even, besides, what everyone has said in the comments section, I can ABSOLUTELY NOT disagree with what everyone has said. No matter what, my biggest thanks to say to is Andrew Reams.
And guess what? 1 year later, I got to ride my very first elevator! It was a WestCoast elevator (can’t remember if it was hydro or traction), and when I first saw it, I was like “Ung!!!” and my parents were like “What?” so then I pointed to it and they’re like “Oh, you want to ride the elevator”. So I went on and rode it and I was very excited. And what’s awesome is that I’m pretty sure that’s the only WestCoast elevator in the world, and it was the very first elevator I had ever ridden which is awesome. And if anyone’s curious to where that elevator is, it’s located at an unremembered-named hotel in Sanibel, Florida. Hope everyone has enjoyed my real story :)
KONE Monospace 500 and KSS 140 are my favourite elevators.
Nice video and awesome guy!
Now I know the people behind the scenes on making the elevators for cruise ships. The elevators I rode on when I went on a cruise were Kone products.
The elevator at 2:30 reminds me of the one in portal 2 before you get to the Cave Johnson test chambers.
Wow, nice job KONE to featuring DieselDucy on your channel! I already this video as my favorites. 😀
Thank you KONE.
Love ur work kone and DieselDucy!
KONE Is the best lift company
Congrats to Diesel Ducy
YAYYYY DIESEL DUCYYYYYYY
🎉
Kone yours lifts tis cool its kone spanhis? good luck!!
Also not trying to give hate on YOUR company about this, but these days American & Canadian EcoDiscs (most of them) are SO bad... It’s not your fault... it’s the people who MAINTAIN it are at fault.
And just as I said about Southcentre Mall, there is a KSS 140 EcoDisc there, and Southcentre Mall PURPOSELY programmed the indicator to say 3 when you arrive at 2 when floor 2 is the highest floor that this elevator I’m talking about serves.
However, KONE, I really love your elevators when they’re maintained well, and of course, keep up making some awesome elevators! Currently, my favourite is the Polaris. You did SUCH a great job on it that I can’t even believe it... I LOVE the Polaris. Maybe try making more destination dispatch models because a lot of future DD models may be as fantastic as Polaris. ;)
10/10 points
Thanks Kone
This is *exactly* the video I was looking for
I definitively likes this video.
3:22 pre doors!
KONE Please, the foto you showed with with that wooden door elevator is a Otis.

MEET ANDREW REAMS

KONE im one of your subscribers!!!
0:27 Famous-Barr.
Going up, you can go at 10 meters per second, but going down, you have to go slightly slower due to the change in pressure.
Nice
I’m autistic myself
My neighbor/buddy Randy works for KONE
:D
i love you
s
KONE is busted 😡😡😡😡😡😡
I d'ont really like elevators kone and tyssen kurp compared to vintage elevators.
Why?
MonoSpaces are actually quite good.
I generally hate modern elevators, Kone and tysenkurp are pretty young companies so they have made pretty young elevators. But still I love "series M" from kone, kone makes pretty good stuff, but tyssenkurp makes terrible things, like the "evolution blue" elevators (they are really nice, bu so cheap), but they (kone and tk) are very generous with elevator enthusiast so I respect theses companies.
KONE and ThyssenKrupp make great elevators IMO
Schindler are good to elevator fans too
SPS8- elevatorsoflakecounty I agree, but I rode a ThyssenKrupp yesterday and it was more like a ThyssenShit.
This guy gave me the creeps. Something is wrong when a 50 year old man is dressing like a 14 year old. It’s just not right.
Try to have understanding.
