I bought this filter adaptor thing pretty much on the recommendation of this video. A really essential piece of kit as the lens is very unprotected with out it. There is a snag though. When shooting with flash it casts a shadow. Took me a while to work out where it was coming from. To shoot with flash you have to take the adaptor off.
That was cool to see. My friend gave me this camera a few days ago. I wanted it for something quick I can use when my main vlog camera is my bag and not easily accesible. The only thing is mine is stuck in 320p for video mode and etc because the funct/set button doesn't work. Which I think is cool because now I'll be more creative with how I shoot and I wanted an old school look.
Depends entirely on the filter used. I generally only use a Polariser to allow me to remove glare from water,glass ect , and realy bring out detail in clouds as well as using a Neutral density filter and sometimes a UV filter. That said its not vital to use now using D-SLR but when shooting 35mm having a UV filter would reduce the amount of UV leakage to the exposed film. Now i sometimes use them to protect my lenses as a sort of relitively inexpensive barrier.
I noticed you already had a UV? filter on the built-in lens. What is that size/model? I always like to have a UV filter on my DSLR lenses to prevent scratches and dust on the curved glass. Do you think there's a way to attach a Circular Polarizer filter on the built-in lens without the heavy adapter?
Hi! I purchased a adaptor and lens for my g11 and I am wondering how do I take photos close up without the blackness of the lens showing up in the photos. Do I always have to zoom to take photos.
