yeah, i don’t know where he read that but i actually laughed out loud. ratings were still fantastic… something like 50 million people watched the finale (myself included). it was more that they decided to end it because the characters were getting a little too old to be the type of group that still hangs out in a coffee shop getting into all sorts of shenanigans.

I’m thinking that you guys may not think these are funny like Seinfeld and friends because you haven’t watched them from the beginning and learned each character and the way they are. Ross getting the spray tan is one of the funniest episodes. I'm so bummed you didn't see what happened after that. One of my other favorites is when Ross gets his teeth whitened. It's hysterical. This show was really funny. I own all the dvds still.
Friends is a show you definitely have to watch in order. There are so many storylines that cross over through episodes and seasons, a lot of inside jokes etc. Its not like other sitcoms where every episode is a completely different situation, its one long story. I highly recommend watching the entire show from the beginning.

The "Oops" moment where Joey accidentally hits Ross is hysterical. As for the leather pants skit, in the end Ross had to admit defeat and left the bathroom with his leather pants rolled up in a ball under his arm, while trying to maintain his dignity as he walked straight out of her apartment.

During his second wedding (and divorce), Ross became a meme, and I love the character for that, even though, he has to be the most annoying one of the bunch, but yet my favourite starting the end of season 4.
The writers for Friends were great! I never loved the first season as much as the other nine as the characters were still developing themselves. Monica is a competitive OCD clean freak which is hilarious. Rachel is just funny. I love Pheobe's spiritual hippie ways and her songs are so funny when she sings in the coffee house. Joey's childlike ways and naive expressions crack me up and Ross who has been married a few times of which they make fun of him for and his cheapness makes for great story lines. Chandler is funny because he makes fun of everyone with classic lines. Just a all around funny show! I can watch it over and over and still laugh. Like the tanning booth episode. You need to watch the whole thing 😂
I’ve always thought the first 2 seasons are the best, they actually make use of the fact that they live IN the city of NY (Phoebe plays guitar in the damn subway on the pilot for god sakes) and the stories are wackier because a lot of the scripts from the first season are just leftovers from Seinfeld, which was HUGE in 94 when Friends started. The deeper you go in the show the more…plastic the show gets, it’s still good but just a regular sitcom.
I didn’t even watch Friends until I got with my fiancé about five years ago. After finally giving it a chance it grew on me. You can also see in a lot of these clips when Matthew Perry was back on drugs. He goes from super skinny to a little thick in between some seasons because he struggled with addiction throughout the course of the show.
Friends still makes me laugh every time I watch it. All their personalities are so funny- Chandler such a smart ass, Joey such a lovable dummy and how he doesn’t share food lol, Phoebe such an eccentric oddball, Monica such an OCD clean freak, etc etc. they all have such great comedic timing. I also love the Thanksgiving episodes, especially the one with Brad Pitt, who was married in real life to Jennifer Aniston at the time.

Never missed an episode. Hilarious show just for the reason they lived in huge apartments in New York and pretty much had it all. Phoebe and her Smelly Cat songs was a fav. Ross and Rachel making a mess of their relationship on the regular and Chandler and Joey who always made me laugh. Great show. You should watch it. 😁
The Bloopers for friends is so much funnier! Especially the episode with the couch on the stairs! And then there is an episode where Ross is playing the bagpipes & the blond chick starts mimicking him! It was soooo funny!!! Edit: Blonde chicks name is Phoebe! This show is funny when you watch it all the way through. Most of the jokes are related to the character's personality so if you're a first time watcher just seeing a compilation you're not going to get most of the jokes. Though some parts may be funny regardless. That being said, there are definitely better compilations of funny moments.
