Wow the mitts on that dude are impressive. So many guys from that part of the world have increible big wrists/hands. Just natural arm wrestlers and boxing, like they have double the weight out at the end of their fists... gonna feel those when they connect...
actually the added weight is negligible and the smaller hands are more piercing, spreading pressure over a smaller area. Tyson was known for having rather small hands compared to his build but it was as if he was stabbing his opponents. The power of the shot comes from a whole kinetic chain, not just the arm.
@@jujuliolezesuiglaz1780 I understand powr comes from the core and legs, not the arms, but if you can swing that thing it has a further out center of mass. So yes for jabs, you are 100% correct, but for a hook, that circular motion with more weight on the end of the arm results in more momentum in the punch.
And the gloves in boxing are much heavier, which causes the average to me closer when you add the total weight of both the hands and the gloves. The smaller the gloves the more that extra weight in the hands can make a difference in any punch that has more of a circular motion.
But Tyson's style, peek-a-boo was less about those wild arcing punches, and more about uppercuts, jabs, and yes a right hook, but the hook wasn't a wild one like we see being thrown here, he was sending quick punches to beat your opponent, etc. Tyson had amazing core and leg strength for his size, truly one of my favorite fighters of all time. Along with Sugar Ray Robinson, and Jack Dempsey.
If this guy learns to strike faster its over. He is very accurate for how sort of* quick he moves. He needs focus train on striking

The Senegalese brother has to do better than this. He holds the fence, pulls on his opponent's trunks, pulls on his opponent's gloves, keeps his fingers outstretched for 'accidental' eye gouges. That's what you should do in a streetfight, but this is sport fighting. I know they're looking for someone to make into a superstar, but if he's going to be that guy, he should learn how to fight strictly by the rules. He's clearly strong, and a good fighter, but he does too many dirty tactics.

Someone who is not a born fighter is not aggressive in any way, and whether by the rules or cheating they will not fight. This guy can clearly fight, and he has natural fight intelligence as if he's been in a lot of fights before he got here. He just needs to play by the rules.
