I think I used 220 grit sand paper, and I used Rust-oleum self etching primer but you can honestly use any self etching primer.

Only thing you had to do with the plastics is use a torch from a distance it will bring the color back
I actually used a heat gun to I’m not sure if I said in the video, I used steel wool, heat gun and then buffed them
A propane torch keep the flame hight enough for it won’t melt the plastic
It would save you alot of time for your self

Yea use a heat gun but be very careful you can burn the plastic.
After sanding the plastics, what did you buff the plastics with? They turned out nice!

Please for the love of god please stop using brake parts cleaner as carb cleaner it’s terrible for any rubber parts like your needle
Regardless if I was using brake cleaner or carb cleaner I still don’t use them on rubber. Carb cleaner will damage the float to.
