Hi Steven, indeed, great little budget microwave. It is just very surprising that its consistency in operation and performance can be on par or even better than more expensive brands/models. It is definitely not fancy, but does job well. Thank you for watching and commenting.
I believe that the more people buy extended warranties with premium service (fast repair/replacement or refund) the more pressure will be put on manufacturers to maintain the performance and longevity of their products. This is because retailers will have a much more watchful eye and larger sample sizes to keep track of which models/brands are good or bad - because otherwise the retailer stands to lose money and reputation!!!
Lg I've had for 6 years and has never given problems and for the buttons all you have to do is hold the cancel button for 3 secs to lock it and you can wipe it with no problems
Around that time LG moved their small white goods operations to China. Quality of assembly and quality control went down significantly. This video was about specifically neochief model. However I'm really pleased that you had great journey with yours. Thank you for sharing.🙏
Lets be honest - it is fancy microwave. However, after 3 of them in 3 years I would like to point out that quality and longevity are not there! Thank you for watching.
@@GregYurchenko thank you for the video. I was in doubt about what to get. I was directed for LG cause it's prettier, the Samsung is kind of same old microwave. But I prefer to not have headache. Cheers
@@FernandoHaddadMinistro Yes, Samsung is old looking, old feeling, old in functions, non-inverter. But... It is cheaper, it is working and sadly this is my choice. Thank you for watching and letting me know that video was helpful. All the best!
To have 3 LG’s fail like that something isn’t right and is a good reminder to people to get the extended warranty. I always get extra warranty on new products and I get products from the Good Guys because with their extended you get $20 credits to spend in store so you end up getting your money back with the credit’s over the warranty term. My personal microwave is a Panasonic flat bed one so no plate very happy with it over a number of years. But in general they don’t make things like they used to. We are a throwaway society these days it’s terrible nothing gets fixed anymore or repaired as it costs more to repair just like in your case with the microwave plate Greg. So we just have to buy a new product old one gets throw away and goes to landfill terrible. Will be interested in the long term how many years that microwave gives you Greg. Stay well my friend 👍🏻😎
Thank you Michael for watching and such comprehensive comment. I take an extended warranty with all my appliances. Sadly, it doesn't kick in until the regular manufacturer's warranty expires. Thus, after dealing with the LG Australia so called customer service directly I decided to go public with my brand experience.
@@vailingshadow5030 Yes, we are. But there is the process to go thru. I've been thru that process with average success rate of 40%. That's why the extended warranty is sometimes way to go. Best success to get resolution Consumer Guarantee act was telecommunications. Worst ones airlines and builders.
@@GregYurchenko Yes the extended warranty does help if you want a quick return. 40% success rate, that is very poor. The best way to go about it is via email. That way you have proof when they deny you the replacement or repair. You just forward that to ACCC. I have had a 100% success rate. I even returned a fridge that was 8 years old with 3 seperate issues over its life, and got a full refund. Yes, it does take longer and it's a process. Another option is to return it to the place of purchase and have them sort it out. They cannot refuse.
I have a Samsung microwave just like yours and love it. I have used it for two years everyday use and is flawless

Sadly most of those so called premium services are outsourced and retailers still have very little to learn here... ☹️
Which NeoChef did you have? There seems to be a bunch of different models called NeoChef even with the same capasity.
42l inverter

There seems to be like 3 different 42L NeoChef models lol
@@DocRealTalk sorry, not sure then. Not coming near any of them for sure 😁

On the LG site the evaluations are pretty bad

You're wrong. My LG microwave is still working after 16 years. It is an older microwave
Not the same model. By the way, I'm not wrong, I'm describing what happen to me. You have different experience, good for you.
Open the door, wipe the buttons, nothing will start, close the door, press the cancel button, wipe the door
Samsung or Lg?

@@GregYurchenko Yes fair point 👍🏻
In Australia, you do not need to get extended warranty. You are covered under the consumer.
