Are bhai Nexon mai electronic stability control, traction control and hill hold are standard. So why are you showing these features exclusive to venue and ecosport. Moreover these features are only available on top end or automatic trims on venue and ecosport whereas Tata is offering these as standard showing their oath for safety

At 21.10 he is telling venue has got.more safety features..but didnt mentioned 2. High speed stability: nexon and ecosport mainly has better suspenion setup for high speeds, cornering and rough roads than venue. Venue has soft suspension that are only good for city roads and that doesn't makes it stable for highways Venue is only good for city rides and but i dont agree that it is the most practical car than nexon and ecosport. And its just my perspective..no car is perfect

@@anuragrp1988I own Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue . Better go with Nexon XM S instead of Sonet HTX . But if you are looking for higher variants go for Sonet instead of Nexon . But Nexon is not a reliable car and Tata's after sales service is also very bad . Nexon's engine is very noisy and unrefined and has a lot of flat spots in it's power band . But if you can don't care about all these negatives of Nexon you can go with it . Only Nexon's XM S is terrific Value for money others anyother upper variants go for Sonet .

If you have driven all the three cars, you will definitely see that EcoSport is a quality above others. Venue is the narrowest rear seats car. U have to get things right

If your observations differ, i can respect that. But please be a bit more responsible while throwing the "paid" tag around.

Verry true....i find Ecosport is the winner. Why it's an issue that the ac vent in ecosport chill your hand??? BTW the ac in ecosport is best in this segment... You don't have to point it on your face to feel it, just throw it back ward, and enjoy the flow. Second the storage, i found it was good in ecosport comparatively, be it water bottles, key, phone, under armrest storage, under seat storage, globe box,... What else you need?? Third... ecosport easily handles off roading.. No doubt venue seems to be more luxurious.. But Ecosport is overall winner here too. Same amount of luggage in ecosport and venue, ecosport having another positive point that seats fold to increase further luggage room. The engine, safety features ( emergency assistance for free, lifetime), drive quality, ....etc etc many features which bring this car out of this comparison. The only thing i found ecosport lagging is outdated infotainment system. That's all 😊

Would invest in Ecosports for build quality, responsive refined 1.5 diesal engine, good driving dynamics, handling, safety features & overall Refinements. Above all Transperant, Affordable & Excellent Quality After-Sales Services. Yes, got to compromise 2" or 2.5" of Rear Seat Comfort in Ecosports. But it has the best Heart (Engine) & Multi-speciality Hospital so Reliability & Durability is secured. Tata lacks in both the above except steel body & little extra space at the rear. Venue does have a hatchback feel with OK ride & handling but its loaded with all the best feature list, good refined 1.5 diesal engine & the best After-Sales Sales Services.
You will not compromise with rear seat... We indian maruti 800 we sit 4 people in rear seat and one kid extra in lap and enjoy the ride of 300 km... Nind nehi ati hai jab him ghum ne jaatain hai.. Plus your title doesn't do justice to the review of cars(meant for family). Venue is more over a hatchback not suitable for Indian families of 5. Ergonomics of Tata Nexon is better, good lumbar support. Ford has good driving dynamics but now needs a facelift. For design and style it depends on individual choices. You talked about UVO in Venue but should have talked about iRA in Nexon. Plus these are psuedo SUV's should have the basic DNA of good ground clearance where Venue surely misses out. I'm in automotive industry for more than 12 years now and can definitely tell you Venue is not a great deal. Hyundai doesn't even provide petrol 1.2L manual in top variant. And they are going to discontinue petrol manual itself in future. Could write more but I'm not going to be a reviewer. For a thought you could have included XUV300 here. But it's your platform. Am a Tata Nexon EV owner. Have driven this car 5000+ KMs till now with more of highway driving. Am sharing my experience with EV. Mileage to be considered for Tata Nexon EV is only 150 KMs with AC on and drive freely like petrol cars, it is nowhere near 312 KMs as rated by ARAI. Technology has advanced, ARAI testing mileage at speed of 50KMs/hr. doesn't apply now. On drive mode, I get 190 KMs on limiting my speed to 70-80 KMs/hr. with AC on, only driver (no load) on highway. Forget about the sport mode, have never dared to test it! I feel crash test should be different for same model petrol and EV, because EV is holding an motor which would give different impact than a petrol car carrying an engine. Though Nexon has got an 5* for Petrol car, I am not sure if this holds for Nexon EV also. Battery onboard AC to DC charging module is to accept only 3.7kW, Hyundai Kona has 7.4kW. Charging time reduces by half and company can go upto 11kW charging easily without much additional cost. A Tata representative have been appointed to all Tata dealers to promote EVs. Sadly not the one expected from Tata, this guy also went on assuring of getting a minimum of 240 KMs. on highway with AC on and full load. Difference between the real world and ARAI standards mileage should be considered to 50% of what ARAI standards give to EVs! Nexon EV has been given only a single parking brakes option (hand brakes), and not 2-3 braking options like in petrol car. I feel this is a major safety compromise made by Tata. On putting off car, it automatically switches to neutral mode making it necessary you apply parking brakes else, the car might move! Nexon doesn't have a "hill assist" function, on gradients you have to be very careful, as you release brakes car starts moving backwards! On comfort levels car is good. There are minor issues which I am sure will get corrected in next service. Tata dealers suck. I bought car from Puneet motors, Malad, Mumbai. This dealer didn't give a test drive inspite of umpteen requests made; went all out to get full advance from me while the car was yet in Tata Motors, Pune. Activated my car sim afyer about 45 days of buying the car! Forget about many small issues like no signed copy of invoice, chassis no. on fasTag, 5 no. alloy wheels mentioned in invoice whereby you get only 4... I have been to lots of harrassment by this dealer right from I purchased this car. Tata doesn't seem to have control on their dealers. If we compare with Mercedes who have launched an EV recently with a battery pack of 80kW, claiming only 240+ KMs. on full battery. Tata Nexon has only 30kW battery! Tata should go the German way. After all this is the impression we all have for Tata, an "honest" company. They make Mercedes Benz for India! By what I have learnt from my first EV, my next EV would be: 1) 1000 KMs mileage claimed by company (so that I can get atleast 450-500 KMs. "Drive like petrol cars" mileage; 2) 0-100 KMs/hr. in about 7 sec. in normal drive (Nexon gives 9.9 in sports mode, drive mode is super boring); 3) 11kW onboard AC charging capability module, 3.7kW in Nexon takes whole 10 hrs. to charge!; 4) OTA software updates, why should I visit service center just for an update?
I am not a car reviewer or anything. But like everyone else I researched a lot before buying my first cSUV ( Hyundai Venue ). I agree with most of his points and see few Nexon fans who are very angry. But guys I did test all of the cars before buying this. Nexon is a great car but still, it needs to improve a lot to get on par with the feel and finish. It's not quite there yet. If you want this car to be the best. Please be critical and just don't be biased towards "INDIAN BRAND". Give feedback, Let them improve. However, I do disagree on a few points with this review and would like to add a few negatives about Venue. 1) I would say EcoSport provides a better ride quality than Venue, and Nexon is on par with Venue. But still, EcoSport is sportier and driver's car than a family car. This review looked at it as a family car. 2) Venue has a very loud "thud" sound when you hit a pothole at high speed. Didn't notice this in Nexon. 3) Venue's 1.0 Litre Turbo Petrol is extremely good on highways. But it doesn't perform well on a "Hilly Start-stop traffic" situation. My area is full of inclinations and struggles to climb up unless you hit the 2000+ rpm range where the Turbo really spools up. Maybe you should look at diesel for that. Hyundai Venue shouldn't differ by so many points among these cars. But however, each car is different and fits different needs. I have nothing against Nexon, But I feel every Nexon fan is against every other car. And all these dislikes are from these butthurt fans. Please test drive yourself each and every car and then compare for yourself.
Ecosport does NOT offer a better ride quality than Nexon, hell.. in terms of RIDE quality, they aren't even comparable. The suspension tuning is best on Nexon and that is..well a fact. Its the perfect balance between stiff and comfortable for HS cornering and bad roads. Ecosport is having a stiff suspension built only for HS cornering, not for potholes.. venue is well.. it excels at none of these lol.
Dude seriously when u said that back space in venue is good and suspension and ride quality of venue is good I literally laughed. Bakwas gaadi h venue!. It feels like Renault quid on steroids from inside. Sit in venue and you will instantly realise Nexon is build tough and feels like true SUV. While venue is just larger hatch! Engine of ford is best here but overall Nexon wins any day, even it challenges a segment above cars!

I test drove venue and nexon yesterday and I strongly disagree with this person in terms of the way he was promoting venue. Infact I don't even think he is well aware of the details of these cars. Venue like breeze has used cheap pastics as well. Compare the rear AC vent cum handrest plastic section. You can shake it with a light force..
Boot space n shape looked similar for venue and nexon. He just placed the luggage in different positions in both cars and makes comparison. What a man...
Frankly speaking, based on the reviews I took a test drive of venue after the nexon test drive but believe me nexon is far better in interiors and ride quality, overall nexon as an edge over venue. Venue ride quality is also smooth but I really got the hatchback feeling
The comparison of ride quality of SUV is done on parameters set for hatchback. Secondly, Venue and Hyundai don't have more safety features than Nexon. Indians car reviewers should start acknowledging the fact that just more no of airbags don't mean more safety. Actual parameter has to be which offers more safety from the base model. That is the reason even NCAP uses base model for crash testing.

Exactly, Nexon offers a plethora of safety features like 2 Airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, Electronic Brake Perfil, Roll Over Mitigation, HCA, Traction Control, CSC, Disc Brake Wiping. And some of these features are not even present in the Venue or the Ecosport but according to the reviewer, They provide more safety features....An extremely biased review IMO.

Venue is just a Hatchback car. No way a compact SUV. I have XUV 300 & my best friend have Venue. When I drive both there is no comparison. XUV 300 is a proper Suv, feel so much confident while driving. When I drive venue it's a raised proper Hatchback.

Drove all three cars 1.Engine wise - Ecosport > Venue > Nexon Ecosport is much more fun to drive (The best of the three). Venue is Equally good (Very Nice engine). But Tata lags a little bit there is no initial punch but midrange is very good (Suitable for Highway ride) 2.Backseat comfort - Nexon (Love it) > Venue > Ecosport Nexon backseat is very very comfortable just glides away even on bad roads. Venue is decent . Ecosport is decent on highways but car jumps a lot on bad roads.

Even Venue’s 1.0L have some turbo lag And coming to VFM factor, I brought XM for 9L onroad, while In that price, Venue have a non turbo engine suited for i20, also Space is a disaster in venue. I own a Nexon BS 6 AMT Optional, and I agree with the below points 1. Center console storage layout could definitely be improved. It's all form, less function now, TATA can definitely improve it. 2. Agree with the steering stocks could be little closer. 3. A piller blind spot. Agree. 4.Boot space comparison seems legit. Have to agree based on what I saw in your review. Loading lip height is not an issue for me, but could be for elderly, where I think ecosport may have an edge ? You could have covered that part. What I don't agree with: 1. The issue with horn placement. For me it's much easier to use it with just my thumb, vs move the entire hand to reach the center of the steering. Nexons horn placement makes it effortless, and NO, I haven't accedentally used it while turning or using steering mounted controls. 2. Venue : Well It's personal preference, but Somehow I felt the plastic quality and the dark interiors to be actually much more claustrophobic and crampy in nature. I remember, I went to the Hundai showroom with excitement to check Venue, but the dissapoinemt was quick when we went inside. Rear seat was such a letdown, seat comfort , was not comparable to the Nexon. A car is for driving and engine, dynamics and interior space, seating comfort matters a lot more than the features , atleast in the long run. I liked the material quality in the center console. Althouh, Still this is personal preference.. but nonetheless less, should be highlighted in the review. Overall I liked your comparison, keep up the good work.

Bought Venue SXO Petrol Turbo recently. Extremely happy with. Sometimes I feel I should have gone with EcoSport but alas I wanted a comfortable ride for my mom which Venue could easily provide. If I was selfish, I would have gone with EcoSport maybe. Did not consider Nexon as the service centers near my locality are on par with Government facilities.
Looks like the person was doing advertisement for Hyundai. The buttons for ac were similar to Tata, but Tata Nexon is not good, but Hyundai is better. The glove box of Hyundai is small, but Nexon which is bigger is not good. Not worth checking it.
Bhai isne chalayi Nahi hai ye gadiyan enough we took EcoSport to Leh ladakh and did 250 Kms daily for 10 days. Bhai Hyundai toh highway per Hil jaati hai nexon is good but if you haven't driven an EcoSport you wouldn't understand when I say it's above these two and shouldn't be compared. 1. Safety: he didn't mention that nexon too got advanced safety features right from the base model.
At 21.10 he is telling venue has got.more safety features..but didnt mentioned
2. High speed stability: nexon and ecosport mainly has better suspenion setup for high speeds, cornering and rough roads than venue.
Venue has soft suspension that are only good for city roads and that doesn't makes it stable for highways
Venue is only good for city rides and but i dont agree that it is the most practical car than nexon and ecosport.
And its just my perspective..no car is perfect

Second the storage, i found it was good in ecosport comparatively, be it water bottles, key, phone, under armrest storage, under seat storage, globe box,... What else you need??
Third... ecosport easily handles off roading.. No doubt venue seems to be more luxurious.. But Ecosport is overall winner here too.
Same amount of luggage in ecosport and venue, ecosport having another positive point that seats fold to increase further luggage room.
The engine, safety features ( emergency assistance for free, lifetime), drive quality, ....etc etc many features which bring this car out of this comparison.
The only thing i found ecosport lagging is outdated infotainment system.

@@nabeelkhan4878 No offence but your review is biased, Korean brands are good at fit n finish no doubt, but Nexon has improved a lot. Plus your title doesn't do justice to the review of cars(meant for family). Venue is more over a hatchback not suitable for Indian families of 5.
Ergonomics of Tata Nexon is better, good lumbar support. Ford has good driving dynamics but now needs a facelift. For design and style it depends on individual choices. You talked about UVO in Venue but should have talked about iRA in Nexon. Plus these are psuedo SUV's should have the basic DNA of good ground clearance where Venue surely misses out. I'm in automotive industry for more than 12 years now and can definitely tell you Venue is not a great deal. Hyundai doesn't even provide petrol 1.2L manual in top variant. And they are going to discontinue petrol manual itself in future.
Could write more but I'm not going to be a reviewer. For a thought you could have included XUV300 here. But it's your platform.

Am a Tata Nexon EV owner. Have driven this car 5000+ KMs till now with more of highway driving. Am sharing my experience with EV.
Mileage to be considered for Tata Nexon EV is only 150 KMs with AC on and drive freely like petrol cars, it is nowhere near 312 KMs as rated by ARAI. Technology has advanced, ARAI testing mileage at speed of 50KMs/hr. doesn't apply now.
On drive mode, I get 190 KMs on limiting my speed to 70-80 KMs/hr. with AC on, only driver (no load) on highway. Forget about the sport mode, have never dared to test it!
I feel crash test should be different for same model petrol and EV, because EV is holding an motor which would give different impact than a petrol car carrying an engine. Though Nexon has got an 5* for Petrol car, I am not sure if this holds for Nexon EV also.
Battery onboard AC to DC charging module is to accept only 3.7kW, Hyundai Kona has 7.4kW. Charging time reduces by half and company can go upto 11kW charging easily without much additional cost.
A Tata representative have been appointed to all Tata dealers to promote EVs. Sadly not the one expected from Tata, this guy also went on assuring of getting a minimum of 240 KMs. on highway with AC on and full load.
Difference between the real world and ARAI standards mileage should be considered to 50% of what ARAI standards give to EVs!
Nexon EV has been given only a single parking brakes option (hand brakes), and not 2-3 braking options like in petrol car. I feel this is a major safety compromise made by Tata. On putting off car, it automatically switches to neutral mode making it necessary you apply parking brakes else, the car might move!
Nexon doesn't have a "hill assist" function, on gradients you have to be very careful, as you release brakes car starts moving backwards!
On comfort levels car is good. There are minor issues which I am sure will get corrected in next service.
Tata dealers suck. I bought car from Puneet motors, Malad, Mumbai. This dealer didn't give a test drive inspite of umpteen requests made; went all out to get full advance from me while the car was yet in Tata Motors, Pune. Activated my car sim afyer about 45 days of buying the car! Forget about many small issues like no signed copy of invoice, chassis no. on fasTag, 5 no. alloy wheels mentioned in invoice whereby you get only 4... I have been to lots of harrassment by this dealer right from I purchased this car. Tata doesn't seem to have control on their dealers.
If we compare with Mercedes who have launched an EV recently with a battery pack of 80kW, claiming only 240+ KMs. on full battery. Tata Nexon has only 30kW battery! Tata should go the German way. After all this is the impression we all have for Tata, an "honest" company.
They make Mercedes Benz for India!
By what I have learnt from my first EV, my next EV would be:
1) 1000 KMs mileage claimed by company (so that I can get atleast 450-500 KMs. "Drive like petrol cars" mileage;
2) 0-100 KMs/hr. in about 7 sec. in normal drive (Nexon gives 9.9 in sports mode, drive mode is super boring);
3) 11kW onboard AC charging capability module, 3.7kW in Nexon takes whole 10 hrs. to charge!;
4) OTA software updates, why should I visit service center just for an update?

I am not a car reviewer or anything. But like everyone else I researched a lot before buying my first cSUV ( Hyundai Venue ).
I agree with most of his points and see few Nexon fans who are very angry. But guys I did test all of the cars before buying this. Nexon is a great car but still, it needs to improve a lot to get on par with the feel and finish. It's not quite there yet. If you want this car to be the best. Please be critical and just don't be biased towards "INDIAN BRAND". Give feedback, Let them improve.
However, I do disagree on a few points with this review and would like to add a few negatives about Venue.
1) I would say EcoSport provides a better ride quality than Venue, and Nexon is on par with Venue. But still, EcoSport is sportier and driver's car than a family car. This review looked at it as a family car.
2) Venue has a very loud "thud" sound when you hit a pothole at high speed. Didn't notice this in Nexon.
3) Venue's 1.0 Litre Turbo Petrol is extremely good on highways. But it doesn't perform well on a "Hilly Start-stop traffic" situation. My area is full of inclinations and struggles to climb up unless you hit the 2000+ rpm range where the Turbo really spools up. Maybe you should look at diesel for that.
Hyundai Venue shouldn't differ by so many points among these cars. But however, each car is different and fits different needs.
I have nothing against Nexon, But I feel every Nexon fan is against every other car. And all these dislikes are from these butthurt fans. Please test drive yourself each and every car and then compare for yourself.

Ecosport does NOT offer a better ride quality than Nexon, hell.. in terms of RIDE quality, they aren't even comparable. The suspension tuning is best on Nexon and that is..well a fact. Its the perfect balance between stiff and comfortable for HS cornering and bad roads. Ecosport is having a stiff suspension built only for HS cornering, not for potholes.. venue is well.. it excels at none of these lol.

I test drove venue and nexon yesterday and I strongly disagree with this person in terms of the way he was promoting venue. Infact I don't even think he is well aware of the details of these cars. Venue like breeze has used cheap pastics as well. Compare the rear AC vent cum handrest plastic section. You can shake it with a light force..

Frankly speaking, based on the reviews I took a test drive of venue after the nexon test drive but believe me nexon is far better in interiors and ride quality, overall nexon as an edge over venue. Venue ride quality is also smooth but I really got the hatchback feeling
The comparison of ride quality of SUV is done on parameters set for hatchback. Secondly, Venue and Hyundai don't have more safety features than Nexon. Indians car reviewers should start acknowledging the fact that just more no of airbags don't mean more safety. Actual parameter has to be which offers more safety from the base model. That is the reason even NCAP uses base model for crash testing.

Exactly, Nexon offers a plethora of safety features like 2 Airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, Electronic Brake Perfil, Roll Over Mitigation, HCA, Traction Control, CSC, Disc Brake Wiping. And some of these features are not even present in the Venue or the Ecosport but according to the reviewer, They provide more safety features....An extremely biased review IMO.

Ecosport is rated 4 star in euro ncap, which is much stringent than global ncap. 1 star is reduced for pedestrian safety not for occupant.

Venue is just a Hatchback car. No way a compact SUV. I have XUV 300 & my best friend have Venue. When I drive both there is no comparison. XUV 300 is a proper Suv, feel so much confident while driving. When I drive venue it's a raised proper Hatchback.

Drove all three cars
1.Engine wise - Ecosport > Venue > Nexon
Ecosport is much more fun to drive (The best of the three). Venue is Equally good (Very Nice engine). But Tata lags a little bit there is no initial punch but midrange is very good (Suitable for Highway ride)
2.Backseat comfort - Nexon (Love it) > Venue > Ecosport
Nexon backseat is very very comfortable just glides away even on bad roads. Venue is decent . Ecosport is decent on highways but car jumps a lot on bad roads.

Coming to engine, I agree the fact that turbo lag is thers in lower gears below 2000 rpm, but once turbo kicks in, its way faster. Also in gear acceleration is faster.
Even Venue’s 1.0L have some turbo lag
And coming to VFM factor,
I brought XM for 9L onroad, while In that price, Venue have a non turbo engine suited for i20, also Space is a disaster in venue.

One of the best Car Tata Nexon which a calld nexy . Is it awesome vicale experience. Ofroad on road , just amazing . Also tata provides sefty which is most important things while you driving. Chip price best car . Nexon .

I own a Nexon BS 6 AMT Optional, and I agree with the below points
1. Center console storage layout could definitely be improved. It's all form, less function now, TATA can definitely improve it.
2. Agree with the steering stocks could be little closer.
3. A piller blind spot. Agree.
4.Boot space comparison seems legit. Have to agree based on what I saw in your review.
Loading lip height is not an issue for me, but could be for elderly, where I think ecosport may have an edge ? You could have covered that part.
What I don't agree with:
1. The issue with horn placement. For me it's much easier to use it with just my thumb, vs move the entire hand to reach the center of the steering. Nexons horn placement makes it effortless, and NO, I haven't accedentally used it while turning or using steering mounted controls.
2. Venue : Well It's personal preference, but Somehow I felt the plastic quality and the dark interiors to be actually much more claustrophobic and crampy in nature. I remember, I went to the Hundai showroom with excitement to check Venue, but the dissapoinemt was quick when we went inside. Rear seat was such a letdown, seat comfort , was not comparable to the Nexon. A car is for driving and engine, dynamics and interior space, seating comfort matters a lot more than the features , atleast in the long run. I liked the material quality in the center console. Althouh, Still this is personal preference.. but nonetheless less, should be highlighted in the review.

It is a clear review to boost Venue sales! Seriously ride quality and handling you are saying Ecosports is last. When you compared the cabin space while you didn’t like lack of space in Nexon somehow you liked it in Venue and despite Ecosports having highest space you made it look second ! Expected better and fair review than the one posted here
It's amazing ford being the oldest still stacks up pretty well rather is one of the better feature equipped cars despite being the oldest !

Venue is best
Bought Venue SXO Petrol Turbo recently. Extremely happy with. Sometimes I feel I should have gone with EcoSport but alas I wanted a comfortable ride for my mom which Venue could easily provide. If I was selfish, I would have gone with EcoSport maybe. Did not consider Nexon as the service centers near my locality are on par with Government facilities.

Looks like the person was doing advertisement for Hyundai. The buttons for ac were similar to Tata, but Tata Nexon is not good, but Hyundai is better. The glove box of Hyundai is small, but Nexon which is bigger is not good. Not worth checking it.
when you include service, ford is best Hyundai is also very nice and tata is improving a lot
Bhai isne chalayi Nahi hai ye gadiyan enough we took EcoSport to Leh ladakh and did 250 Kms daily for 10 days. Bhai Hyundai toh highway per Hil jaati hai nexon is good but if you haven't driven an EcoSport you wouldn't understand when I say it's above these two and shouldn't be compared. The quality is world-class
