- Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced for dangerous driving and child neglect on the M40.
A judge sentenced Miley Connors, aged 37, of Scant Road East, Hambrook, West Sussex, to two years in prison, suspended for two years, at Oxford Crown Court on Friday (12/4).
The judge also disqualified Connors from driving for two years and he will need to pass an extended retest to get his licence back.

A suspended sentence! The judge should be sacked and that part of their pension paid from the public purse withheld.
Don't blame the judge. Blame the judges BEFORE him. The UK, like most of the western world, uses the Rule of Precedent in criminal justice... meaning sentences for similar crimes are based on what has been pre-established in the past. So thank the judges from the past few decades that gradually weened sentencing down more and more, establishing precedence of leniency for current judges to have to follow.
The government has told the judiciary to reduce the number of people sent to prison to reduce costs. Don't blame the judges blame the people in charge.

The driver should be locked away for 10 years minimum, to protect law abiding motorists,in the future.
Got away with it. Endangering his childs life & of several drivers on the motorway & wreckless driving on the motorway. Drink driving. Only a lengthy custodial sentence for that. Takes the piss! . Others get punished more for a lot less !.

If he'd gone through a speed scamera and refused to incriminate himself THEN you'd have seen a savage sentence. Money money money.

D.U.I., wreckless endangerment, speeding, using hard-shoulder, damage to other cars, failing to stop after an accident, leaving the scene....there's a hundred things to charge this loony with. Tot them up and he should only get out of the clink when he gets his pension. Then sack the judge.
Thank goodness no one got injured or killed . I hope the boy is OK and the driver gets the medical and professional help and makes a 100% recovery . A biig thumbs up to all that came to help out . 👍👍
