thanks! yep! just like my Audioscape D comp - has a very grabby sound to it! its a little trickier to dial in - you need to ignore the meters and just do what sounds good in my experience.
The thing I always notice with drum compression is how much the compressor changes the perceived size of the room. All of these compressors made the drums sound "bigger" to me, but with some the effect was subtler than others.
First of all, hello from Turkey. Hello. I love you very much and I enjoy following your work. We would be very happy if you could make a special price study for Turkey. The dollar and euro are very high here, which puts great pressure on us. Thank you. ❤❤
@@kiiveaudio Thank you very much. I had no doubt that you would help me with this. kiive audio, I love you and your work. I will get back to you via email as soon as possible. Bye.
If tubes add saturation, that could add a perceived sense of brightness. Saturation introduces upper harmonics. I wouldn't use the word "polish" though.
I stand by what i said. Tubes typically add excitement/brightness - even though most people just seem to think they add "warmth" my experience with any piece of tube gear has been that it adds saturation but also opens up the sound by giving it that bit of sparkle. I also think the Tube KC1 can add a nice polished sound to certain source - sure you can push tubes hard and make them get all crispy/crunchy/saturated, but when used subtlety it's a sweeter sound.
What a great demo Rhys, thank you so much! I own them all and love them all. They each shine at their own way :)
Thanks mate! Agreed, they all have their places where they shine!
Great demo mate! I just noticed how sticky that ADC1 compressor is. Love how it sounded on drums and definitely on the master too!

Definitely agree with you there!
Loving the ADC-1! Though I do use the Audioscape D Comp as my main 2 bus compressor so that might just be the sound I’m most accustomed to 😂
its good hey! I have a Dcomp too - tasty compression!
