I love that her first word is ' we all have days when we're not motivated '
taking notes so I remember this stuff-
1. Fogg Behavioral Model- Any behavior is driven by motivation, ability and trigger
2. Start with the easiest task with a time limit of 5 minutes
3. Progress is the best motivation
$. Simple triggers at 3:53
$1. List the optimal times you have most clarity and set a reminder on your phone to study
$2. Choose a dedicated place to work. In future, brain and body automatically switch to "work mode" when you're there, so when you want to study just tell yourself to go sit there
$3. Associate studying with a simple habit like eating a snack (come home get a snack read a book while eating it). Then when you grab a snack it triggers you "oh I can just open this book for 5 minutes and read this as well"
What have worked for me for years now, is to work in 15 - 20 min. Intervals per topic/subject. Not like pomodoro, but to rotate the subject. I know a lot of people would argue that it gets them out of the zone, but it’s something worth to try 😊
This helps to avoid burn out and mental fatigue, and so, it keeps you motivated and disciplined in an easier way
So true
Let me try and review
I use the same technique but I usually do it for 40 - 50 min
That’s a great idea, thank you for sharing
Totally agree, changing subjects regularly helps me in mental stimulation
Now I've realised how amazing and enjoyable studying is😢❤🥺
one thing that the first point reminded me of was "action brings motivation, it isn't always the other way around"
we really appreciate the effort you put into this videos - thanks a million, han! your uploads are the first thing i watch when i open youtube.
Lots of love❤
i like how the video is short yet informative
Thank you so much for the video. I really understood the five minute reading point , earlier I rejected to start even for small periods of study as I thought I wouldn't make much progress or would get demotivated easily but when we get in the flow, it only leaves us with the choice to complete the task or leave and with a little clarity choosing to study feels the right thing.
0:58 according to some users that 🦉 can get invasive sometimes
I'm so happy you're back again
Since I knew you, I loved math more that it was and I realized that not only me who cries with a math question 😂❤. Thank you, han❤❤❤
I literally love you channel🎉🎉
This channel is fantastic.
Finally some actually helpful tips!
Duo lingo is so dramatic oh my word!!😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
TIMESTAMPS
00:00 - 00:35 - *Intro*
00:36 - 03:19 - *The Persuasive Model - Duolingo*
*Do not view studying as a chore,* *or a obligatory work that you have to do.*
03:20 - 04:58 - *Progress is the Biggest Motivation*
*Once we start seeing some progress, the motivation itself will come.*
When I practice problems on Maths or Physics and I can actually solve the problems, I feel motivated to do more. But, it also works in opposite ways.
The third trigger has helped me a lot. This is called *Habits Stacking,* where you stack one habit with another. It has helped me a lot.
05:00 - *Outro*
This is exactly like the Ted talk by Duolingo's founder
This has helped me. Loveee alL the way from SOUTH AFRICA🥰
I made a short summary of the video, I hope it be useful 4 u: 🎉
When you're desmotivated:
- Set a short time to study. e.g. 5 minutes of learning. This usually gives you the momentum to continue.
- Progress is the best motivation: The more you learn, the more interesting it gets.
- Set an study spot. Your brain make a link between the space and the action of studying.
PD:
You can make a mixture between the strategies.
One of my best years in my undergrad education was a result of actively implementing techniques from BJ Fogg’s Tiny Habits book. I don’t see it talked about as much as Atomic Habits. It’s underrated!
pls solve JEE ADVANED Mathematics papers and send your review...😏😏
Thanks for the tips! Loved it!
I need to do this. My exams are going on right now. Wish me luck!
Good luck!

Can you please make a video on how to develop math sense for exams like sat, gmat, gre quantitative section, because situations arises like even If I know the formula of that specific topic/questions , some questions use that formula in way that it is completely different than we expected the application of it ? And also give a tip on if we get stuck on a problem/topic how much time we should spend to understand it because competitive exams have really short deadlines to prepare and understanding that problem is also essential what could we do differently here 🙏your advices really help so please, if you read this help us .
here eyes are like duoligo's owl
Thank you han !❤
Thanks for the video queen
🇮🇶I am an Arab, watching you from Iraq
Thanks for sharing!
thanks han!
love your videos
thank you Han
Next thing to develop is to understand whether you really need to procrastinate or you could replace it with studying. Sometimes I can feel not up to smth just because I am actually exhausted and need some zombie-brain activities to replenish my battery
P.S Always waiting for the part where you enact something haha your acting skills are great too miss han :p
hahaha i am getting better at acting each video😜
you're videos are best in explanation
Hahaha I am getting better at acting each time😜
😂😂❤@@hanzhango
Hi, Han! Do you happen to offer focused learning class? Interested to incorporate the skills you have and share, to be a better learner 😊
Hi! I don't offer any classes right now; I'm currently focused on producing more valuable content on UA-cam. However, creating a course is definitely something I am interested in, so stay tuned!
I am going to try this.
"Social media are really good at using triggers. They make it extremely easy for you to open the app and see the content that you wanted to see and you get a dopamine reward immediately which increases your motivation."
"How can we apply this to studying? On the days that we just don't have a lot of motivation then we can start with the easiest and the tiniest thing so we can get started which is usually the hardest part."
Thank you 💕😊
I woke up at 11:30 AM.. I thought I was never gonna do my HW.. But this vdo motivated me to study now 😃
hehe go study now!
Hi Han I am from India ...and I am your big fan❤
I don't know why but she looks like Lia from Itzy ( not Hating)😍😇
The mole on her nose...so beautiful.
Hi han I am from india and i am your big fan🎉🎉❤
Thanks a lot Han your video was really helpful
b站有推你的视频 来油管follow你了🎉
I'll try to use this tomorrow! This is great advice to be motivated to study ^w^ Mhh but math mind to math mind, do you have any advice for being good at the studying itself?... I'm bad at studying pretty much everything except math, and I'm not great at studying that either, despite being quite good at it...
The co-founder of duo lingos ted talk definitely inspired this video
Hehe totally! I also mentioned him in the video
I have duolingo and it still can't motivate me
hey Han your video really made me realize somethings but ı do have a question you said progress -> motivation but ı kind of struggle to make some progress what would you suggest ı want to be more consistent
I want the Notion Template which she made, does anybody have it?😅
Hiii ,math lover from India😊
I believe that 5 min tricks worked for me.
Why didn't i thought that myself before 😂
.
BTW,

Really learning a stenographer course made me easy to type.
Thankyou mam
Is it just me or does she look like lia from itzy
