I don't do any sort of sport or competition. I don't even get a chance to wear makeup a couple times a year. But this was so nice to watch and I'll probably be doing my makeup using some of these tips just for fun some day I don't have to go anywhere 😅 Saved to my makeup playlist for sure 🥰
I’m fifteen and have been doing my own comp makeup since I started four years ago. This video is incredibly helpful so thank you!! You’re so talented and I love your channel :)
ps... I was a bit reticent about watching a 40 minute video, but I found your comments so interesting with your explainations and demonstrations of technique that the time just flew by... thanks so much
So you gave me a good laugh about myself because I do a lot of the don’t side make-up 🙈🤣 but the do side looks waaaay better and your explanation was so clear and helpfull! I have the same palette, going to practice and improve my make-up look! Thank you so much for this video ❤️
Thanks Lianne!! Haha and like I said in the video I did SO MUCH of my makeup on the dont side when I started teaching myself how to do makeup 🙊😂 We all have to start somewhere! I’m glad the explanation was clear and can help you improve your own techniques!!❤️❤️
I did my first comp after a 9 year break and this tutorial was amazing. I was able to follow along the morning of and my makeup looked great and lasted the whole day. Thank you!
Very helpful tips and guidelines for dance sport and in general makeup! Thank you very much for your content! I ve already seen twice and I m sure I ll watch it in the future as reference!
Loved it. I haven't worn make up since covid. Someone took a picture of me today and I look old. Time to start wearing makeup again. I like the blending and the use of different brushes. Many thanks.
What a brilliant video, I do a lot of belly dance onstage as well as bits of ballroom. A friend who does a lot of competition has also asked me to do her makeup, so this was a great way of improving my makeup and taught me so much, especially the care you took to blend the products together, and the flawless finish that gave you compared to the Dont side. Thank you so much for taking the time.
Thank you so much for sharing this video! It's been an absolute lifesaver this morning; I was conscripted into assisting on a runway makeup lewk with no real guidance on stage/performance makeup for one of the seniors in my cosmetology program. Seeing the do's and don'ts side-by-side like this really drive home everything I need to make sure to pay attention to.
Waw you are amazing. I do most of my make up the don't side :) surely not the brown ur don't side look like going to act in the theater :) which foundarion you use for dancing mostly?
Thank you for such a lovely compliment!! As for foundation I usually use L’Oréal infallible 24hr Fresh wear foundation when I’m competing! But I know their are many more foundations that are great for comps as well 😁💕
My Tip is to skip baking. The super bright undereye/jaw may look snatched in natural/studio light but on stage light it makes you look like a skeleton, and unless you have supersupersuper matcha-level fine powder, and know exactly how much powder you can apply before you overdo it,you are most definetly going to get flashback.Drag queens do bake for stage but they go for that skeletony-look and they know how to avoid flashback.I had to learn it the hard way when I thought I was gonna look snatched to the gods, but instead looked like that one Naomi Campbell Paparazzi photo from the 90s.
Hello! Thank you so much for reminding me!! I’m actually in the middle of moving across the country right now, but when I get my beauty things unpacked I will update the description with the products!! 🙏😇
I have combo oily skin! Sometimes I don’t use primer if I’m only dancing a couple rounds at the competition (2-3). If I’m dancing more, I use the elf power grip primer! It’s great for making the king wear foundation stay on my skin even longer 🥰❤️
Could you please make a tutorial for people who really, really don't like playing with make up? Something that takes the shortest amount of time to do? Like 5 minutes.
@@rickiet.beauty Hi:) Something like the 10 minute challenge video but not a challenge, just easier steps without as many brushes and colors. Thank-you!
My dancer is 12 yrs old and this year doing a creepy contemporary solo. I need something black or dark purple (I think) to put on her lips that she can smear down her face. Crazy I know 😂 is there anything you can recommend to use that will plainly smear not just look “messed up” in pictures?? Thank you so much!
Try purple vs black and a creamy lipstick should smear better. Can always add a touch of purple eyeshadow on top to help with the smearing. Good luck!!
How did you get into competing? I’ve been dancing two years now and have never competed and I’m nearly 15, I’d love to compete but obviously with covid it been at a standstill and idk how to approach it, thank you :)
