Fred my small suggestion on how to make good use of the current land: engage few workers on the farm to grow more feed for commercial purpose by selling to other farmers and also maintain some cattle on the farm as you previously did. Thanks

Wow Fred this is so sad, I find such culture and beliefs are from the dark ages. But my honest belief is they wanted the land. Such wickedness will not go unpunished. I feel your pain cos I'm in an almost similar situation. I'm a poultry farmer in a rural community in Nigeria. Last month I had to close down my business and relocate because some village people thought poultry farming makes me a millionaire so they kept demanding for millions every month. They said if I wanted to continue farming in their community, I have to pay protection fee. I tried calling their bluff so they began me and my family, threatening and sending threat messages. Finally the attempted kidnapping me so I had to close down the business. Some days I'm depressed but I have faith in my God, to secure a new and better location. Have faith brother, God will grant you a better opening.

@flourishhavenhomes Thanks and yes, I had my security system that's why the kidnapping was fouled but it got to a point where security was all I was dwelling on and if I spent all my earnings on security then I'll be working for nothing. Can you imagine that after catching the culprits, the corrupt system released them from prison before we could get to court? It's was loosing battle.

Hi Fred, life always presents itself with such challenges but how one over comes such challenges matters greatly.
You have sown a lot of good seeds every where that's why many people including my self are sharing ur grieve and giving alternatives .
Here are my suggestion s:
Home is home. Consider other alternatives on this land as others suggested.
If u intend to acquire land elsewhere, consider all the necessary modalities and patience be taken into account.
Winners never quit except losers. U are young, knowledgeable, dedicated and the future holds more for you .
Finally, I pray that the Almighty opens up the next best door for u so that this current situation becomes a story and a learning point. Amen. UG.

Start an Ostrich farm Fred. Ostrich meat is the lowest in colesterol among meat based protein sources , ostrich skin is very expensive leather, and is great export commodity, ostrich feathers are in high demand in the Caribbean.
