This song always reminds me of riding to Gilgo beach to hang out with my cousin and her friends when I would visit from Brooklyn. Those were the years. Larry I am now officially a big huge fan!
Larry - The whole is song is GREAT. BUT, when you modulate up a half step to Bb the song just TAKES OFF. I get chills every time I hear it. In the verses, I love the way you change the voicing of the chords when you change keys. First two verses, when you go from 1M9 to 2m7 , the voicing moves the notes down a whole step, (and keeps the open A in the bass). Then verse 3 still repeating the 1M - 2m but with a voicing that moves the notes up a whole step, instead of down. Ingenious and absolutely beautiful and breathtaking !
Excellent. You should be the opening act to 1 of the great bands from the 60s and 70s or the bands of today. I didnt think you could equal "Some Day" but you did with this song.

I remember about a year ago I searched for "Crystal Blue Persuasion cover" on UA-cam and found this video & your channel. I haven't been disappointed since. Your covers are true to the originals, but bring out that unique voice that only you can provide. There's heart and soul and even, dare I say, a little heartbreak in your playing, which makes it that much more powerful and interesting. You truly are one the best musicians I've seen on UA-cam & please keep the hits a-coming!
Larry, great job. I was born in 1967, and my mom told me stories of me at the age of 3 or 4 going around singing this song. Tommy James was and still is one of my favs, thanks for bringing back some good memories of my mom and for doing an awsome job with the song
