THIS. I found my salesman skills recently at 20 at a smoke shop. Due to a regular suggesting that i might be in the wrong buisness i have been approaching a dealership job ever since. What u said is so true. When people feel that overdone sales pitch they just run away. If you can be slick and funny and ask them about themselves and whatnot it lubes them up and makes the sale way easier.

I salute you bro but unfortunately I doubt it. It does depend on the manufacturer. I have a trucking company now but I was 66 one year in the country for a particular manufacturer and I reached as high as 60. I had a 27 car month never less than 15. I went Gold one step below platinum. It was Kia which is a less intelligent buyer than your average Toyota or BMW buyer but many top salesman I’ve seen firsthand bare these traits. To do 20 cars a month plus you don’t have much time to be normal. Normal is understanding when a person says they want to shop around. That’s why I got out. I grew up and developed a conscious. But new car sales is volume which means closing quickly. This is car sales. I’ve been around the best in the country. Sure he’s full of it but I’ve done as good as anyone in the car business but I didn’t hold much gross because I was too normal in that regard. The best salesman at least in the car industry are not normal. Get behind the seat spend some time in finance and you’ll see.

The problem with aggressive closing is that it has a very high rate of returns/refunds/compliants as clients realise at a later date that the product/service doesn't fit their needs. This results in either costs to the company (collecting return/cancelling service contract) or in the loss of future sales from that client as they are resentful of the process. It's a very short sighted and inefficient model. It makes more sense to find better suited clients than it does to aggressively close poorly suited ones.

If you drive in leads you sell and hand them off to other salesmen. Virtually creating another employee. If there are two of you, you can double income. If you know how to advertise and get your own leads, you can split commissions and send leads to other sales people while you collect the checks. Usually dealerships run their own ads, but salespeople do not take ink too easy and figure it out themselves to become a person off value for the dealership. I know salesmen who hit $500-$600,000 per year the last two years since 2020. Everything is possible if you show up and figure things out while everyone else sits back and waits for money to come to them. Aka lazy

think bigger. Andy Elliot, despite bad press, is a B2B Car Executive. Andy receives a percent from all of his partnered dealerships sells/revenue. He also receives percentages from the money generated from his dealerships F&I departments which is where a great deal of money also comes from .
the courses are selling for a lot too. if Andy's channel does 50k views per month and only 1% of his viewers buy, he is making 500 sells per month. (500 Sells) x ($300 Per Course) = $150k/month
Andy may not be the most likeable, but there are definitely a sload of ways that income can be generated in the automotive industry

@@Gojko42 I sell in the b2c and b2b space as well. the $700k that he made came from a combination of units sold and shares that he receives from being a part owner at his dealership.
the courses he sells are one of many products within the Elliot Group's revenue verticals
if his videos are being viewed by as little as 50k people per month, even if only 1% of people buy his course that month ... that would be equal to 500 buys. If the average course he sells is $300, that would mean that he would be bringing in $150k/month from his courses alone.

I graduated with a major in marketing. But, the first job I have to get is in sales. I don't want to start in sales cause it sucks. You have to meet quotas and if you don't it's your fault and you can get fired. In marketing, you just have a regular office job and kinda just look at sales number and talk about how to improve the product, sell the product, and trends. You have a more job security cause if something goes wrong in sales it's not your fault.

Is there a rise in sociopaths, narcissists, psychopaths, etc? I am deeply hoping that it just seems that way because they're in the spotlight lately. We might be facing a mental illness epidemic. Too many women get hot and bothered in their dark fantasies, having kids with psychos, cultivating and producing these people by the thousands. We are so f'ed.

Watching these sales seminars where these guys show their followers how to "make a sale" by demonstrating on the people who are _already buying from them_ just reminds me of all those bullshido exhibitions where people get knocked over by "energy".
