@@Mr._Sherwood If ya want to try something that wont completely destroy you then you can always try Vertical Force. Only thing that it will destroy is your eyes. You'll see why.
Yeah, it can definitely make the perspective pretty damn confusing. Especially when you use the shield weapon to attack an enemy in the background. @_@

That's a cute little feature. I beat this game yesterday on Easy, noticed the number of red ships flying in the ending is the number of lives you have left. Awesome gameplay, I have a long way to go if I want to get this good!
I think that is actually the Xevious font! I've been playing Eschatos over the past few days (currently playing on Original Easy and I'm having a rough time remembering to shield lul) and _m a n_ it feels like such a good love letter to some of the old school stuff, Galaga and Xevious especially

How are you executing that safespot in the bottom-right in Area 15 when the enemies come in a spiraling pattern around you (at about 10:09 in this video)? Every time I try to do it one of the enemies runs into me from behind.
Ah, it worked without a problem in Hard but didn't work when I tried it in Easy. I guess they have slightly different movement patterns between difficulties.
I'm glad people still know this 𝗙𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗖 game. I started playing it only few days ago and I've already thoroughly immersed myself in the world of bullet hell's & SHMUP's❤️
The three essential parts of shoot-em-ups:
1. Brutal difficulty
2. Weird/no story
3. BANGER SOUNDTRACK

Can confirm, I've yet to play a shmup that hasn't destroyed me, confused me and caused several eargasms simultaneously.

Though it’s a modern game, the soundtrack and sound effects make it seem like it came from an arcade game of the early to mid 90’s.
