  • So that we can move efficiently and protect your spine from injury our core needs to be in good working order. Now days most people are starting to understand the importance of core strengthening, which is great but one area of the core that doesn't get much attention is the lower fibers of the TVA. Its rare for people to feel these fibers activate when exercising (or even walking). In this video Ill show you a simple exercise to activate the lower fibers. Enjoy :-)

    Thanks for the great video.
To those just beginning these core exercises... always remember to start out slow, building up gradually over the course of a few weeks.

      Hi jennmooney,
Yes, some people can't activate certain muscles (or chain of muscles through Fascia) due to some form of trauma either emotional or physical. Even scars can either deactivate or over-facilitate muscles, mums who have had C-sections experience this all the time. Your best bet is to find either a Neurokinetic Therapist (NKT) or Kinesiologist who has experience in brain integration. They can help bring these muscles 'back online'. Be patient and stay positive during this process as emotions play a big part in body function. :-)
