I have that Melt palette, and I agree. Meh. What I've learned from trying a number of their products, is that they do much better with mattes than shimmers. Their shimmers felt more like satins, which I don't care for and I go to them for lip and cheek products.
😊 This Pat palette is a hit for me. I didn’t get last year’s but I have all the previous holiday palettes except for last year’s and I’m glad I did. The mattes blend well and stays put on my lids and the shimmers are gorgeous and also don’t fade away on me. It’s also true that I’ve been favoring more sedate looks recently so this is probably why it hits my happy place.
The past two years I have gotten the Pat McGrath Christmas pallet did not buy this year just am not in love with how they work just not worth it. Love your look, you can make anything work lol. Hope you had a good day. Have a great week at work. ❤❤❤
I appreciate you listing your 10 worst! It helps me know what to steer clear of. I'm always so curious what you do for work, if you don't mind saying. If you don't want to say, I totally understand.
With the matte selection and shimmers I really liked this year's Pat Holiday palette. I think it might be my favorite of the bigger palettes. 😂😂 We are in agreement on the #1 worst. Those Huda palettes were AWFUL for me. I love Gourmande Girls but their bigger palette did not work for me at all. It was pretty, but I just could not get a good blend with it. So I'd swap the Pat palette with that one and our list would be the same. 😂😂 Hopefully no one is offended, I always think that's silly. We are all so different with different preferences. What works for some, won't for others. That's makeup. 😂 Great video!
Big thank you to you Steph for reviewing the wicked widow Tales are terror a haunting palette! I purchased it and I’m so glad I did! Not many reviews on it due to its late release. The shimmers seem to irritate my eyes but I’m hoping i just applied to much or something because I really love it !
Sister! ❤🐈 I knew OE's big palette would be one of them but I also guessed that this was the one you made your eyeshadow with. Hm. I guess they really just should have split the palette. I ordered their Christmas releases from this year because I managed to grab one of their 50% off codes - I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun with those. 😊 I don't really have any bad palettes this year. Thank you for saving us from buying them! 😁
I may have posted before, but I did find Pat McGrath at TJ Maxx, it was the previous holiday palette. I kind of thought I would hate it, but it really grew on me and I love the heck out of it now. I am taking a week long plunge into a palette a week. So far, it's been pretty good. I just used Viseart Bijou. Muddier than I expected, but a go to for a deep look.
@@feoltmanns7624 I only have this one I mentioned and the first Rose version she did. I think if you do a lot of looks with the special shades, it's worth it, but if not, you basically get neutrals, and I need a companion neutral palette because I don't have really useful transitions for that big mothership. The seasonal one I found for $33 at TJs and so I was fine with that. haha.
You're so positive even when youi are ranking your worst palettes - it's a nice trait. At lest finding something positive inside of the experience - wether its the cover art, or previous experiences
Good to know about Melt Smoke Sessions II (SSII). I looked at buying that one because I discovered Melt this year and had some good experiences. I got the Bride of Frankenstein palette and the Electrip palette. I like both, and there is only one shimmer in Electrip that I found to be harder to use ... I'm glad I skipped the SSII. I'll wait for better.
I have the little Wicked Widow in my collection and love her so much 🥹 She lasts all day and the shimmers are so great 😍 Maybe she needs another base and another chance ✨🙏🏻
I just received my Palette from Pat McGrath on sale. I am more than happy with it. She may have the similar colour stories, but the formulas are completely different.
I haven't seen you in a while. I Checked your channel and appears that I am not subscribed, I didn't unsubscribed from it. First time I noticed something like that on this platform. In the past, I had read people commenting about issues like that, so now I know for sure that happen.
Ace Beaute has a palette that is really close to the melt purple palette you may already own it. It's Paradise fallen, it's beautiful. It's a little more dark n smouldery then the melt but it's very close in color story. May God bless 💙💙
@SteffsBeautyStash now than welcome sweetie, if you get the Eyescream beauty bag it's supposed to be this months palette. I get the box, but I added the bag this month just to get that palette.
i think i watched a declutter or two a last year or the year before on other channels and the camera motions made me nauseous and i couldn’t watch it anymore. maybe its just me 🤷🏻♀️i do get vertigo sometimes so who knows. anyways if its easier for you to declutter first on your own time and then sit at your desk with everything in front of you i’d vote for that. 👍🏻💜💄💅🏻
Huh, a lot of Main Street market brands on the list. 🤔 While I do like main Street market brands, some of them anyway, I think I think when it's become is that I've just been spoiled from the Indy brands now and I want all eyeshadows to perform like that unfortunately that's not the case sometimes. I will say I did start to see some of the brands doing some what I like to call amped up eyeshadow formulas at the very end of the year. Hopefully going into 2025 they'll bring more of it. It's nice to be able to spend less money and get almost the same quality or sometimes the same quality that you can with some of the Indy brands out there. Like for instance revolution their iconic palette I thought that was amazing. It was like $12. Also sigma came out with a. Pallet that I thought was stunning and it performed well. But that was towards the end of the year so again I hope they start doing more of that during the 2025 year and keep on from there because it would really be nice to spend less but still get the same quality or close to it anyways. Thanks Steff! 😊
I never understood all the hype over Pat McGrath. I have a few pallets that I NEVER use. My indie shadows are so much better and a fraction of the cost. I do have the Wicked Widow pallet and it has always performed well for me. I used the NYX glitter glue along with the eye primer. Those have worked well for me for years over any other eye primers. We are all different and have unique needs. The eye look you created with that pallet or Absolutely Beautiful!🩷🩷🩷

Aww my heart melted when I saw sister.

I’m glad you love it!! Maybe switch up the primer you are using and see if that helps!

The PM formula is good, it’s just for me the price and color story is the low point.
Pat McGrath’s palettes are so expensive - I drool over them but can’t pull the trigger, maybe this year I will order one.

I was very disappointed by the Melt palette. Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️

@@lr8607 I like the electrip too. It’s my first melt. Which shimmer is difficult for you?
@@Devise2bWise The sheer peach shade. I still use it because it's so flattering, but I find I need to work to get any payoff.
Enjoyed this ranking video. Thank you for sharing Steff.
I’m glad you liked it!🥳

The one purple palette and it isn’t good. Dang

I know. PM makes some beautiful makeup products but the palettes never really spoke to me.
