I've seen shitloads of better artist since I visited the first Qlimax, X-Qlusive, Qlubtempo and Defqon's back in 2001-2005.
What I'm trying to say, don't stick too much to your favorites, it's gets boring eventually.
Explore the style, explore other genres, evolve your taste...but above all, enjoy!

I love dbstf and I love Hardstyle. But what is it with this constant talking every 20 seconds and turning the music down to hear people humming the melody? This was „IN“ in the 90s. I hated it then, and I still do. Is this now something you do specially for the Germans or when you are performing at non-Hardstyle specific festivals? At Defqon1 it was pure Music and that was great and what I expect. The occaisonal phrase from Mc Villain is fine, but this is getting too much for me. Please let me know why this is coming back into fashion, so that I can avoid certain festivals accordingly. I don’t want to ruin my love for Hardstyle or certain acts because of this.
DJs like to do this when playing bootlegs, also at major hardstyle festivals. They probably enjoy hearing their crowd enjoy the music and sing along. Not so much for regular hardstyle songs, except if they have very well-known and "singable" vocals.
