Steve Martin got me through a troubled childhood and adolescence. I could count on him more than my own parents (or anyone else) to see me through depression. He pretty much raised me. 😊
I remember reading a book in which it talked about how a young Steve Martin worked hard, practiced his craft, went back and practiced even more. He worked tirelessly for a long period of time to become a really good MAGICIAN. 😳😳 Later, he got into comedy, banjoing, and more. The point is working hard, practicing, and working harder is how you achieve success. A true inspiration!
I’m 71 and a multi decade admirer of your humor and films. As soon as I saw you in the 70’s, I immediately got your humor. The older bits in your documentary resonate with me too. You are a humble sensitive spirit. I’m so pleased for you finding personal happiness with your family. I was so touched by your openness to the heart and soul you poured into your work. I have been riddled with anxiety and panic attacks all my life and humor is my go to, to combat my fears. Mostly I’m the only one who thinks I’m funny and I’m ok with that because it’s for me. Your ability to forgive your father and wish there was a conversation is amazing. My parents were incapable of accountability and therefore I’m glad they’re dead. They still try to invade my head with their abusive chatter. I have several scenarios in my imagination to shut them up. I also enjoyed watching you collaborate with Martin Short. It would be really nice if apple passed the positive comments onto to you. Thank you for raising my spirits over the years.
My dad always told me the two funniest ppl in the world are Steve Martin and Martin short … that was in the early 90s and he wasn’t wrong! I can’t wait for this!
I remember discovering Steve Martin when I was like 10. I can see how much of my adult personality that has been encouraged by him. I cannot wait this.
Tell me about it! My dad was on the road a lot, so I really gravitated toward Steve's movies in particular. Father of the Bride had me convinced that he, too, would walk me down the aisle one day 😅
"Crouching Tiger; Hidden Dragon nominated for best picture this year. Huh. Crouching tiger; hidden dragon. See, I thought that was something Siegfried and Roy did on vacation." 2001 Oscars monologue. That's all you need to know about Steve Martin.
Loved the entire documentary. ❤Fan from down under. You are a super talented man & you have achieved brilliance. Most importantly ❤. family. Here's to another 25 years of fun, laughter 😃 xx
I always love Steve Martin since his wild ans crazy guy days lol he always made me laugh. I love his movies and I'm so glad he's still making me laugh today❤❤ he's a gem!!! Love him. Watching him and Martin Short together again is just a joy for me! I love it!

Steve Martin was truly a legend in his job. He was known as Tom Baker in the Cheaper By The Dozen movies, Mr Chairman in Looney Tunes Back in Action and Inspector Clouseau ( used by Peter Sellers) in the Pink Panther movies.
Part 1 was pretty good, told the origin story as any good biopic should, and highlighted how Steve touched a nerve with a distraught generation in the 1970s. Part 2, however, was boring and dragged on way too much, pretty much just a rich old worn-out guy sitting around in his expensive house. It felt like they were saying he's on death's doorstep.
I love Steve Martin in his movies but I've never found his comedy act funny at all. I just think his comedy is so stupid its just silly. I've never really understood all the hoopla around him. I was there when his famous album came out in 78. I thought it was dumb.
I could watch a 2 hr doc of him and Martin doing errands and be happy.
That's a show right there. They can call it "Errands."
I second this!!

One of my favourite tv shows involves the two Martins, Only Murders in the Building. 🥰
Shoot. My dad said the same thing! Immigrant parent obsessed with these comedies from the 60s-80s. It's all we watched growing up!

i grew up on his comedy. Love this man. so insanely talented across the board!
Me too!!
I do know one thing about Steve Martin. He used to be a magician at Disneyland before he became who he is now.
No wonder he’s enchanting
He started working there at 10 years old, right after the park opened, selling guide books for a dime apiece.
I loved Steve Martin in Father of the Bride. He had great chemistry with Diane Keaton.

My favorite comedian ❤❤❤❤
Absolutely brilliant renaissance man
Lordy I could watch Steve all day ❤
I'm so excited about this!!!!!
As a child in the 90s I really wanted Steve Martin to be my dad.
Tell me about it! My dad was on the road a lot, so I really gravitated toward Steve's movies in particular. Father of the Bride had me convinced that he, too, would walk me down the aisle one day 😅
Oh man, I can't wait for this. I feel like so much of his early material was lost to time.

;>)
OMG... can't wait for thatone!
Eno in the soundtrack…! I’m in.
Thanks man, I was dying to find that song's name! do you know the title?
The mantelpiece scene in "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" is his best work. And, well, "King Tut", which was so out there and gutsy.
His musical with edie brickell is amazing
Love this guy!

Oscar 2025 FYC
Brian Eno - On Some Faraway Beach.
It's also funny how he never aged for decade after decade after decade after decade!
He doesn’t age
Bet his 11 year-old daughter helps keep him young. :)
Too bad it’s on Apple TV. Won’t be able to watch it. 😢
🏴☠️
Omggg nooo wayyy let’s goooo

Maybe it's time for a revival of Steve Martin or a new one to take stage, because all comedy is political again.

would
needs jenna jameson
let us not overlook the athleticism his physical comedy requires.
FOUNDATION SEASON 3 Update
They’re still filming it.
Steve Martin? I thought he sold insurance.
Is he got a job from patty already? 😂😂😂😂
I love Steve Martin in his movies but I've never found his comedy act funny at all. I just think his comedy is so stupid its just silly. I've never really understood all the hoopla around him. I was there when his famous album came out in 78. I thought it was dumb.
I can’t watch this documentary because I don’t have Apple TV plus
I believe the demand for documentaries is not high right?
Until now
Obviously talented, but has made some of the worst movies in history.
He was never funny.
🤣Now that’s funny!🤣
not funny at all. take him and bring leslie nielsen back!
He can be mine then
Steve was the officiating doctor at my birth; and he told my mother that i'd never amount to anything!
And boy was he right!
What a guy/obstetrician!
This is an ego boost movie for that dude
This trailer and documentary really feel distinctly Steve. I love it
